Tonight’s what we’ve all been waiting for as the AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm defends against the “The CEO” Mercedes Moné at All In Texas. This dream match of sorts has been brewing ever since Moné won the Owen Hart Tournament months back. The two have much at stake, and we finally get to see who will be AEW’s top woman tonight.
Moné arrives in style, of course, drenched in her gold and wearing the Moné train of all the women she has defeated during her run.
But let’s not forget Storm also knows how to make a “Timeless” entrance as well.
The two tie up and try to level both their antics. Moné has had enough of Storm’s games and lands a sharp Meteora onto Luther as the match turns the tide. Storm gains back some momentum after a hard clothesline, but just can’t seem to get a grasp of Moné’s offense.
Moné hits the Three Amigos and heads up for the Frog Splash, but Storm gets the knees up. Storm lands a hip attack and lands in a Storm Zero only for a two-count. Storm’s last resort is to fade away Moné, but the challenger bites her way through.
Both trade blows, but end up butting heads in the middle of the ring. The two are at an even playing field, but The CEO hits the Moné Maker as Storm kicks out. Moné gets in the face of Storm, literally, but meets the fate of a Tiger Bomb, only to kick out. Both are pulling everything out of their arsenal.
As the two tussle, Storm hits three Storm Zeroes in a row, only for Moné to kick out. The sneaky CEO almost rolls up Storm, but Moné tries to lock in an STF. Both are at their limits, but up at the top rope, Storm kisses The CEO good night, and lands a top rope Storm Zero to retain her title.
Storm walks All In Texas still the champion, while Moné’s undefeated streak in singles competition at AEW comes to an end.
