After issuing an Eliminator Challenge, the AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm faces TJPW’s Miyu Yamashita as she steps up to the plate tonight on AEW Dynamite!
But first, Renee Paquette catches up with the Global Champion herself, Mercedes Moné, after over a year of being in AEW. She goes on to face Jamie Hayter at Double or Nothing in the Finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. The CEO says she’s not scared of Hayter because she’s undefeated in singles competition and that champions don’t look like cartoons.
Onwards with the match at hand, Yamashita looks to turn this into a kickboxing match as she kicks both Storm and Luther’s behinds, literally.
The match is all Yamashita as she kicks her on the head multiple times, but Storm comes back with a German Suplex. After rocking Yamashita with a hip attack, Storm hits the Storm Zero to pick up the win.
Norfolk, Virginia gets a surprise visit from The CEO. She tells the crowd to shut up and says that she’ll become the next World Champion once she defeats Hayter. However, Hayter arrives and sends a little message to Moné as she charges running.
