Tegan Nox has been rebuilding her in-ring car after a horrible run of bad luck, in which she suffered not one but two ACL tears.
Since returning from her second injury, Nox has been locked into a bitter feud with former best friend and teammate, Dakota Kai. Kai defeated Nox in the first-ever NXT women’s street fight at NXT TakeOver: Portland earlier this year seemingly putting an end to their feud. However, they have remained intertwined and regularly cross paths, because there has been nowhere else for them to go and no one else for them to face.
Tegan Nox is one of NXT’s most popular performers and needs to break free from the pack and start to live up to her potential after so many setbacks.
What better way to award her grit, determination and long road to recovery with a feud with Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Championship?
The fact that Nox and Shirai have rarely crossed paths would make this potential feud a lot more special.
