First Choice: Ivory
Everyone who knows me knows my all-time favourite women’s wrestler is Miss Ivory. A three-time WWE Women’s Champion, to me, she is and was the gold standard that many women, in order to be successful, would have to follow.
While some women in her era could wrestle, their mic work was usually hit or miss, with the exception of Luna Vachon, or they could be good on the mic, but either weren’t wrestlers like The Kat, Terri, Sunny and at time Sable.
Meanwhile, Ivory could do it all, she could talk, she was very attractive, and she was solid in the ring. What drew me to her was her charm and biting wit. I’d find myself imitating her insults to friends and family all the time. She had so much more to offer, and even though she was part of the golden era, she was a side player and she deserved her moment at least one more time. In 2003, it looked like we’d have that, only for it to be snatched away. While she did well on the WWE Experience and Tough Enough, I wanted more of her in the ring delivering some Poison Ivory.
