Former Tough Enough contestant and 2010 Miss USA, Rima Fakih, made headlines over the weekend after she was arrested on a drunk driving charge in Michigan, according to TMZ.
It’s reported that Fakih originally tried to cover up the arrest, tweeting on Saturday: “Let’s clear things up now…. I’m NOT in Michigan and I’m NOT in jail! Wrong Fakih.”
However, her attorney Donald Elder confirmed to the Detroit Free Press that it was, in fact, the right Fakih. “Unfortunately she was,” he is quoted as saying.
He added that Rima “very saddened and very apologetic for the situation that she is in right now.”
Earlier this year, Rima was one of five female contestants on the USA Network revival of Tough Enough. She spoke to us exclusively about the experience in an interview.
