Don’t expect Trish Stratus to appear in AEW.
The WWE Hall of Famer discusses her WWE run from 2023 and how she missed the opportunity to face Mercedes Moné (Sasha Banks). She was also asked if she would ever appear in AEW to face Moné as that is where she currently resides.
While speaking with SI Wrestling, Stratus had the following to say –
“I really think people never thought I’d ever come back for another match. After the Royal Rumble, it was enough. It was a sizzle real, so to speak, of Trish Stratus and Stratusfaction, which is not easy to pull off, but like, ‘All right. You still got it,’ whatever. But to think of, can she come back after how many years to do a match like 17 years after my retirement, whatever the crazy number is, which is wild, yeah, but then [Mone] left,” Stratus said. When the question on if Stratus would appear in AEW –
“Oh, [waves her hands no]. No, I really am a WWE girl all the way, I really am,” Stratus said.
Stratus has left fans with a bit of a question mark on when we will see her next. She has teased some future opponents she’d want in WWE, most recently current WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax.
