I think it’s safe to say that most of us were expecting to see the finals of the Divas Championship tournament on last night’s Raw. The match was advertised for the show on WWE.com, but it seems likely that the numerous Elimination Chamber qualifying matches bumped it from the show. Extremely poor planning? Perhaps a sign of how low a priority the Divas are? Yes, but I suppose there’s nothing we can do about it but wait for it to (maybe) take place next week.
As for this week, our Diva action amounted to a backstage segment in which Maryse talks to Gail Kim (with Kelly Kelly by her side), expressing her wish for a great match. After acting strangely congenial, she then says to Gail (en français):
“Je voulais juste te laisser savoir qu’à la fin, le championnat c’est moi qui vait le gagner,” which translates to: “Just want to let you know that, at the end, I will win the championship.”
