Winners & Losers: SmackDown 11/08/19

With Friday Night SmackDown and Monday’s RAW being taped due to being in Manchester, England, many people probably caught the spoilers prior to tonight’s event. Whether you are a spoiler person or not it wasn’t a bad idea to tune in to see Sasha Banks‘ new music as well as her in-ring return after being out of action for over a month. Also, Christmas came a little early as we saw Dana Brooke pick up a win which hasn’t happened for quite some time other than her being the Queen of Main Event.

NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler made her presence known again just as she did last week as she took out Bayley after Banks defeated Nikki Cross. There is no denying there is build-up for Survivor Series which is a good thing considering the lack thereof for Hell in a Cell.

If you want to check the spoilers to see what all took place tonight and what takes place on RAW this Monday you can click here.

Let’s get into the Winners & Losers of the night.

WINNER: Sasha Banks

Everything looked positive for Banks this week. She returned to action since being sidelined with an injury for the past month. Her music has been altered which depending on you on was a good thing. Personally, her theme is and has been a favorite of mine for years, and I am satisfied with the change. As long as they don’t totally get rid of it or ruin it like the Asuka/Kairi Sane mash-up, I am good.

She has also become captain for the SmackDown women’s team for Survivor Series as she should be. The match itself was decent with Nikki Cross. It is just going to become quite predictable when Cross faces either Banks or Bayley. It is nothing new.

WINNER: Dana “freaking” Brooke

FINALLY! Not only did we get the Dana Brooke match we were robbed from last week (which was only okay due to Bianca Belair being the reason as to why it didn’t happen) but she picked up the win! The match was okay. It wasn’t anything jaw-dropping. but Brooke certainly shined in it. Her athleticism is incredibly overlooked as she is in general overlooked.

Her and Carmella qualifying personally was the right move. I am a big fan of Fire & Desire also, but let’s look at the win/loss ratio between them and Dana Brooke and we will see who needed this the most.

LOSERS: Fire & Desire

The only women who came off looking pretty bad were Fire & Desire so they have to be put on the losers list. Now as I just mentioned obviously in order for Dana to win, they had to lose. Personally I think one of them may still make the Survivor Series team and I think it’ll be Sonya Deville.

There are two spots left. Nikki Cross could get one of them. They could always just throw Tamina in, or Lacey Evans as well. The only reason why I think Deville may be in it is that Mandy Rose was the one who took the spot in the Money in the Bank match earlier this year. However, I know WWE doesn’t think like that, so I am reaching.

What did you think of this week’s SmackDown? Who were your Winners & Losers? Who do you think will be the other members of Team SmackDown for Survivor Series?
