Wren Sinclair To Defend Women’s Speed Title With Double Champion Possibilities

We may have a double champion on our hands soon.

On this week’s NXT, Zaria entered Robert Stone’s office to find out who her next challenger is for her NXT Women’s North American Title. She wasn’t happy that she had to be thrown to the wolves last time against three competitors when Layla Diggs went out with an injury and the match changed to a Fatal four-way at the last second.

Not giving Stone a lot of time to acknowledge Zaria, the Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair enters. She too wants to know about her next opponent. Zaria doesn’t like the interruption and Stone says there has to be a tournament to determine Sinclair’s next opponent, as per usual. Sinclair comments that Zaria wouldn’t mind competing since she is such a good champion. Zaria says that being a good champion is the exact reason why she shouldn’t be in a tournament because she is a champion.

Stone then agrees that Zaria shouldn’t have to go through a tournament, so next week she will face Sinclair for the Women’s Speed Title. If Sinclair wins, she will get a NXT Women’s North American Title opportunity. She makes a comment stating that there hasn’t been a double champion since Sol (Ruca) which doesn’t sit well with Zaria.

The Women’s Speed Title match takes place next week.
