WrestleMania Week Tweets: When Dixie Met Stephanie and More Tweets from Saturday

WrestleMania week is upon us and sure to bring plenty of Twitter-related goodness as the Divas and other women of wrestling tweet their thoughts, pictures and even videos from various events over the course of the weekend.

We’ll be rounding up some of the tweets of the day over the next few days to give you all an insight into what our favorite ladies have been up to.

Oops! So Saturday’s roundup is a little late, but hey, we have a good Hall of Fame-sized excuse.

As well as the induction of Trish Stratus into the Hall of Fame, yesterday was significant for another reason — TNA President Dixie Carter and WWE’s Stephanie McMahon, aka the two most powerful women in the wrestling business, crossed paths. And Dixie was quick to document the encounter on her Twitter account…

While Stephanie would eventually reply this morning, last night she was rather preoccupied, you know, giving a fitting introduction to Trish ahead of her Hall of Fame induction. The WWE executive tweeted:

And there was another first time encounter yesterday, too, as former TNA star Rosita crossed paths with former WWE star Beth Phoenix at WrestleCon. New Twitter buddies alert!

Continuing with the WrestleCon theme, Kharma made her return to SHIMMER on iPPV and quickly dispatched Mia Yim in a hard-fought match, but despite her loss, Yim was happy just to step into the ring with the iconic Amazing Kong.

She said:

And fresh from regaining the SHIMMER Championship, Cheerleader Melissa was ready to celebrate with a night out on the town in NYC — new gold in tow!

Speaking of gold, could this be a sign of things to come? NXT Diva Sasha Banks made a beeline for the newly-revealed NXT Women’s Championship which is on display at Axxess. She tweeted:
