The Royal Rumble had its fair share of memorable moments but one that stood out for me was the amazing shine that the women of NXT got during the 30-women match.
NXT was represented by the best and brightest the brand has to offer. Candice LeRae, Mia Yim, Toni Storm, Mercedes Martinez, Tegan Nox, Shotzi Blackheart, Dakota Kai, Chelsea Green and Xia Li all shone throughout the match.
Bianca Belair was especially prominent in the Royal Rumble getting a record-setting 8 eliminations and remaining in the ring for 33 minutes.
Shayna Baszler also made her number 30 appearance matter by equalling Belair’s elimination record by ousting 8 competitors herself before reaching the final two. Baszler was the odds-on favourite to win the rumble but was eliminated by Charlotte Flair.
In the video we see the aforementioned superstars preparing for their appearances in the match. It is these type of videos that WWE does so well that enables the viewers to get a wonderful insight into the minds and emotions of the superstars at such a pivotal moment in their careers.
To get so close and personal to the superstars and see first-hand their thoughts, feelings and emotions pre and post-show is something that is amazing to see.
