With the uncertainty that has been the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE continues to do what it can to provide content. This has included having the past week of shows with no audiences and in the WWE Performance Center. According to many sources, WWE will be taping the RAW and SmackDown episodes to get them through WrestleMania. This is said to be happening after tomorrow’s SmackDown.
There has been no news as of the time of this writing what the plan for NXT will be.
In addition to this, WrestleMania is also said that it will be taped for its two-night event for April 4 and 5. WWE has issued a statement previously to Sports Illustrated that all company talent and staff are required to comply with medical screenings before entering the WWE Performance Center. This is to make sure they are doing all they can in the wake of the coronavirus.
Currently, every match listed on the WrestleMania card is singles matches. To limit the risk of exposure, this may stay this way. It is for certain the Women’s Battle Royal has been nixed. As far as a tag team match, that has yet to be determined.
As for the two women’s matches that have been confirmed, it is said that the NXT Women’s Championship match between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair will take place on April 4.
The RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will then defend her title against Shayna Baszler on April 5. This hasn’t been formally announced as far as placement by WWE but is highly rumored.
