Tonight at the Royal Rumble, Charlotte Flair defends her Raw Women’s Title against Bayley. Which woman will walk away with the gold? The Diva Dirt team weighs in:
Abir: As this feud is guaranteed to continue, Charlotte will win. However, she’ll deal with a persistent Bayley, and be forced to cheat her way to victory. I say this as Bayley will need a viable reason to stay in the title picture as a win at Mania is guaranteed to be iconic for her.
Alex: I mean, it’s pretty obvious that Charlotte is going to retain this one. The WWE is definitely saving that PPV streak to be broken at a WrestleMania moment and this match is clearly going to be used to test the waters. I personally hope that we get a twist ending of some sort, Stephanie McMahon reversing a decision? Dana Brooke causing a distraction? La Luchadora making an appearance? Their feud has really not gaged me, so I hope this match can!
Jack: I am really torn about this but it would surprise me to see Charlotte win, only for her to lose the belt on an episode of Raw, to then win it back at Mania. I don’t think the Raw brand will have a PPV before WrestleMania (I could be wrong), so there are PLENTY of Raw episodes to fill, one presumably a title match where Bayley will win. Charlotte retains.
Josue: I think this match will have a screwy finish to further Bayley’s underdog story. That being said, Charlotte will pretty much remain champion until WrestleMania where Bayley will get her ultimate redemption and WrestleMania moment.
Kyle: While my love for Bayley is not a secret, it is obvious that Charlotte will win with this match because of the whole Queen of PPV gimmick she’s got going on. And after Bayley’s latest promos flopping, there’s no reason she should win the title tonight anyways.
Matthew: I’ve got Charlotte over Bayley. Two words: Undefeated. Streak. At PPVs. Nuff Said.
Stephanie: Charlotte will win. Her streak isn’t about to be broken and Bayley, for her underdog character, needs a loss. She’ll take it here and Charlotte will retain.
