Tonight’s RAW has one main topic that social media has been buzzing about ever since Friday and that is Charlotte Flair’s medical update announcement.
Since Friday, it has been advertised that Charlotte Flair will be providing a medical update since the RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley took out her knee after their six-woman tag team match last week.
Speculations started to swirl on what this could mean but according to a report by Fightful Select and as you can see below, WWE reworded their post on the announcement. In the new Twitter post, they stress the fact that her announcement is regarding last week’s vicious assault by Ripley.
According to Fightful, they say that their WWE sources have confirmed that the “medical update” for tonight is simply an angle for the show and there is no inclination that the update has to do with Flair’s personal life.
There aren’t any further previews for potential matches for tonight’s RAW but with Money in the Bank just weeks away, the build-up continues. Four women from the red brand have qualified and Naomi, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, and Nikki Cross are among the eight women total that will participate in the annual Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Two of these women, Asuka and Bliss, have won this match before and both have become champions as a result.
Eva Marie has recently returned with a protege Doudrop and the two already appear to be on the wrong page. Although Eva Marie tried to get back at Doudrop for costing her a spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Doudrop was able to pin Asuka in their tag team match last week. Eva continued to take credit for the win though and declared only herself as the victor even though it was a tag match that Doudrop won.
Nikki Cross has dubbed the moniker of “Almost a Superhero,” also known as A.S.H. and has continued to be successful in her matches. She pinned Shayna Baszler last week.
