Samantha Heights crowned new Heart of Shimmer Champion

SHIMMER 113 is in the books and we have a new Heart of Shimmer champion. Samantha Heights defeated Dust and ended her nearly year-long reign at 353 days in the main event.

This was Heights first main event appearance for SHIMMER. She pulled out the win, after delivering the Bang-a-Rang. This is the second title win of Heights’ career. She was VOW’s Vixen Champion in 2015.

This match was a rematch from SHIMMER 112, which just took place last weekend. She defeated Dust for the title match at that event. However, it was by disqualification. Many fans felt that she was cheated but now he has received her retribution.

This was one of three title matches to take place at today’s event. As reported earlier Nicole Savoy retained her title against Hiroyo Matsumoto. Cheerleader Melissa and Mercedes Martinez were successful in their title defense against Holidead and Thunder Rosa.

This could be Heights’ break out year with a title firmly wrapped around her waist. What do you think of this title change? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
