Raw Redux (March 15th, 2010): Blurring the Lines
After last week's Raw, all signs seemed to be pointing towards Eve Torres being the front runner for a title feud with Maryse, but a few inter-brand cameos may have just turned us in another direction. Is this a good direction or a bad one? Let's watch this week's action and judge for ourselves:
Kelly Kelly makes her way to the ring, followed by Maryse. Common sense indicates that this will be a squash match, but with how Maryse has been wrestling lately (that is, barely wrestling) it...
SmackDown Redux (March 12th, 2010): The Blonde and the Brawny
It's okay to look -- SmackDown has returned to form! Hurrah! After an iffy week with not much going on last week, this week's show was infinitely better with the blonde babyfaces proving the Divas moniker to be true -- they were smart, they were sexy and oh yes, they were powerful! You'd expect little else from the Glamazon Beth Phoenix... but Tiffany? Tiffany?! I was not expecting anything out of the former ECW GM upon reading the spoilers for this week but Tiffany girl, consider my eyes op...
SmackDown Redux (March 5th, 2010): Diva Power Struggle
Who has the upper hand when you pit Beth Phoenix versus Vickie Guerrero? Looks like we're about to find out. The latest WWE Diva power struggle pits the unlikely 'Diva' Guerrero up against the Glamazon and despite their obvious mismatch in terms of wrestling ability, in all other aspects they're pretty much tit-for-tat. In kayfabe, Guerrero is the authoratative consultant GM for the SmackDown brand -- giving her the right to book matches, make decisions and even fire people. Meanwhile the Glamaz...
SmackDown Redux (February 26th, 2010): A Modern Day Diva Screwjob
Earlier this week, WWE announced that the victim of the 'original screwjob', Wendi Richter would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April. Coincidence, then, that in the same week another Diva is the victim of a modern day screwjob. That Diva is Mickie James, a who woman who seemingly had the odds stacked against her this week on SmackDown. See the drama unfold below:
The odds didn't look good last week, when Vickie Guerrero announced that Mickie would defend her Women's Champio...
Elimination Chamber in Review: Longest. Tournament. EVER.
The never-ending Divas Championship tournament was stretched yet another day as despite advertising the end of the sucker, we were swerved with an interpromotional tag team bout instead. It all went down at last night's Elimination Chamber pay per view where Gail Kim and Maryse were due to go one-on-one for the vacated title. After weeks of embarassingly bad handling of this 'tournament', we were finally ready to be done with it and crown the new champion -- with care so little in supply, as...
Should Vickie Guerrero Become Divas General Manager?
Her antics last night only added to the monstrous heat that Vickie Guerrero draws from WWE audiences. Up until now, she hadn't really incurred the [kayfabe] wrath of Diva fans but in the past few weeks, we've seen Vickie try on a new hat. No longer content with making the Superstars' lives that much more difficult, Guerrero is now becoming a foil of sorts to the Divas. In recent weeks on SmackDown, we've seen her tangle with Mickie James and last night, she wasn't too impressed with the Raw Di...
SmackDown Redux (February 20th, 2010): A Bit of This, A Bit of That
After concentrating on a single storyline for the past few months, this week's SmackDown felt more in line with the mixed bag that we once saw on SmackDown pre-Diva Trade. There was a little bit of this mixed with a little bit of that and it just felt like WWE were trying to accomplish all too much with the Divas without any real substance to it ala a time when we had Michelle/Melina, Maria/Ziggler and Maria/Melina. It may seem cool to indulge in all of the Divas but after growing accustomed...

Vickie Guerrero Returning to the WWE, Managing New Superstar
We reported last week that Vickie Guerrero would be making a return to the WWE, albeit a one-time thing for SmackDown's 10th Anniversary special. However, reports from the show indicate that her return is actually a long-term one: she will be managing the man she calls her "new boyfriend", new WWE Superstar Eric Escobar.
I'm actually quite shocked that she's come back in this capacity, given the crappy circumstances in which she left the company back in June, as well as some of the ridicu...
Vickie Guerrero Returning to WWE
Former SmackDown and Raw General Manager, Vickie Guerrero will return to WWE as a special guest during next week's SmackDown 10th anniversary special.
Guerrero was handed the invitation last week and has accepted. The appearance will mark the first time Vickie will appear for the company since she left in June of this year. At the time, Guerrero decided she owed more time and attention to her young daughters.
It'll be great to see Vickie back, she is arguably one of the biggest stars b...
