There is only one women’s match announced for AEW Dark: Elevation this Monday but is certainly one to watch. “La Mera Mera” Thunder Rosa takes on the “Cuban Diamond” one-on-one for the first time in AEW.
Rosa and Diamante had a confrontation on AEW Dark: Elevation a few weeks ago. Rosa was conducting an interview when Diamante interrupted taking umbrage at Rosa’s comments about representing Latinas. Diamante says Rosa doesn’t even go here and has a huge target on her back. Rosa reveals that when you’re the best there is always a target in your back.
The two have met before in tag team action back in September of last year on AEW Dynamite. The match resulted in Rosa and Shida defeating Diamante and Ivelisse. Now they will clash in singles action and it will not be for faint of heart. Both fighters are known for their snug and stiff in-ring style. So expect wince-inducing blows and stinging kicks galore.
