Torrie Wilson was surprised to learn of Hall of Fame induction

Current WWE Hall of Fame inductee, Torrie Wilson, spoke recently on The Jim Ross Report in reference to her induction. It was announced earlier this month that Wilson received the spot as this year’s female inductee; apart from Chyna‘s induction with D-Generation X, of course.

Wilson was shocked to hear that she was selected because she was not expecting to hear this news. She figured when she received the phone call she was just getting a general invitation to the ceremony.

“Yes, I was [surprised about the induction]! Actually, Mark Carrano called me and I was on a retreat. And I thought he was calling me to invite me to watch the show and he kind of threw me for a little loop there.” Wilson added, “yeah, I was definitely surprised!”

Wilson further comments on the important question that many fans think of when someone is announced as an inductee: Who is going to announce her induction? Presently, there is word that the ceremony will be shorter this year, so it may be possible for some to not have an inductor.

Further topics of discussion included Wilson’s take on the current talent in the women’s division and how the landscape has changed. You can listen to the entire podcast from Jim Ross by clicking here. Transcripts used are from the report by Wrestling Inc.

Who do you think should induct Torrie if she does have someone to take on that honor? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section.
