Triple Threat Match announced for Women’s Tag Team Titles at Backlash

WWE has officially announced that the newly crowned Women’s Tag Team Champions Bayley & Sasha Banks will have to put their tag team titles on the line at Backlash. They will be defending against Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross along with The IIconics.

Bayley and Banks won the titles just a few days ago on Friday Night Smackdown in the main event. They defeated Bliss & Cross who have held the titles since April where they defeated the Kabuki Warriors at WrestleMania. They are set to make an appearance tonight on RAW and will most likely confront The IIconics.

The IIconics returned nearly a month ago from a seven-month absence and since then they have had their eye on becoming champions for a second time. They have been a thorn in the side of Bliss & Cross but now they have to shift their energy to the new champions as well.

Backlash will be taking place on Sunday, June 14 and this is the second women’s match announced for the card. The other match has Asuka defending her RAW Women’s Championship against Nia Jax.
