The numerous rounds of releases from WWE since after WrestleMania in April have left numerous spots open on the main roster. Even prior to the releases WWE had been stuck in a rematch loop which has left the product stale in recent months. So with live crowds coming back in two weeks, where does that leave RAW and SmackDown when it comes to fresh product?
According to a report by Fightful Select, they have been told that Vince McMahon will be at the WWE Performance Center this week to “scout talent” to see who could be brought to the main roster to replenish it. The day in specific is set for Thursday.
Recent weeks have also seen Executive Director Bruce Prichard and Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis made the trip to Orlando to scout talent which was done at the PC Live events that have not been open to the public.
Scarlett and Shotzi Blackheart are two of the names that have been spotted backstage before the recent episode of SmackDown taking part in a Dark Match. As to our knowledge, there has been no word on the result of that match. There is no talk on what other women may be a part of this scouting effort by McMahon and others at this time. According to PWInsider, Scarlett and Shotzi were backstage again for tonight’s RAW for a possible Dark Match or to work Main Event.
WWE hasn’t officially announced the upcoming Draft but it is being reported that it will happen on August 30 for RAW and September 3 for SmackDown.
