Amber Nova becomes the second woman ever to win Florida Cruiserweight Championship

Amber Nova won the Florida Cruiserweight Championship on Oct. 12, in Deltona, Fla. becoming the second female to win the title in its nearly 20-year history. Santana Garrett was the first female to win the title in 2013.

Nova appeared on FOX News the past couple of days to help promote Friday Night SmackDown!

Nova is due to face another champion, the now 3-time Women of Honor Champion Kelly Klein. The matches will take place in South Africa on October 30th in Johannesburg and November 1st in Cape Town. Nova wants to compete for the championship now that Klein won the title back from Angelina Love.

The African Wrestling Alliance, which is hosting the events featuring Nova vs. Klein, is waiting to hear back from Ring of Honor to see if they will allow the title defenses. If ROH agrees, this will be the first time an ROH Championship will be defended in Africa.

Nova is a regular on the Florida Independent scene and has appeared for NXT and IMPACT in recent years and would make a great addition to the Women of Honor division. Could she be the first person to win the Championship in Africa and debut in ROH as their new Women of Honor Champion? Stay tuned to Diva Dirt for further updates.
