Speaking for the first time on reports that she has left TNA, Awesome Kong wrote on her Twitter page:
I have asked for and received an early release from my contract. I would like to thank TNA for their support in this matter.
Reports of Kong requested her release date back to January, however TNA it seems finally granted her release in the past couple of weeks. TNA removed Kong’s profile from the roster page of their official website earlier in the week.
Word is that Kong still has a good relationship with TNA President, Dixie Carter which could leave the door open for a return in future.
