The first NXT TakeOver of the Covid-era is here and is aptly named In Your House. This is the first In Your House since 1999 marking the return on its 25th year anniversary.
In a stacked, card we have two women’s matches. The first is the six women tag team match that sees Tegan Nox, Mia Yim and Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Dakota Kai and Candice LaRea.
The second and hopefully the main event of the show is the Triple Threat Match for the NXT Women’s Championship. Champion Charlotte takes on both Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley.
Now that’s a whole lot of talent on one card. Can’t wait.
Six Woman Tag Team Match
The tag match should be a fun and entertaining affair. All six competitors have beef with one another in some way, shape or form.
Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai have a storied history stemming from Kai’s heel turn last year at WarGames. Mia Yim and Candice LaRae have been feuding over the past couple of weeks that has also involved Keith Lee and Johnny Gargano. Shotzi Blackheart and Raquel Gonzalez had a match last week that involved Dakota stealing her tank and distracting Shotzi for the loss. Never steal another women’s tank.
It is good to see so many women getting a chance to shine on a platform such as NXT TakeOver.
Triple Threat Match for the NXT Women’s Championship
This should be match of the night and a potential match of the year contender.
The talent in the match along with back story offers up a very interesting match up indeed. To heighten anticipation there is an air of unpredicibility surrounding the outcome of the match.
Many expect this match to be the perfect opportunity to take the belt off Charlotte as she doesn’t have to take the loss to lose the title.
Io Shirai appears to be the favourite to walk away with the title but this could also be Rhea Ripley’s redemption. However, this is Charlotte Flair we are talking about and she is rarely on the losing end.
Are we going to see a new NXT Women’s Champion or will ‘The Queen’ retain?
