Six-Pack Challenge for WWF Women’s Championship Survivor Series 11/18/01

It is time for another Free Match Friday!

In a match that features four future WWE Hall of Famers, six women compete for the vacant WWF Women’s Championship. The match involved Lita, Jazz, Ivory, Jacqueline, Trish Stratus, and Mighty Molly. The title was vacated at this time due to Chyna leaving WWF.

Survivor Series is one of the big four pay-per-views of the year and this match is a good one to revisit. The next pay-per-view will be Survivor Series and it will take place on Nov. 24.

The winner of this match would mark her first-ever title win. Click the link above to see who walks away with a victory.

Tessa Blanchard stakes claim on becoming the first woman X-Division Champion

After losing a number one contenders spot for the Impact World Championship to Sami Callihan at Slammiversary, Tessa Blanchard still has her sights on making history. Heading into Bound for Glory, Blanchard has made an emphatic statement.

She explains in a backstage interview that she is no stranger to ladder matches. Her participation in the X-Division Championship Ladder Match tonight to her is just another day at the office. She is also used to having the odds stacked against her as she has been the brunt of oVe’s numerous attacks.

Blanchard declares that she has had a plan and a goal to reach the “pinnacle of professional wrestling.” This started back at Slammiversary. She vows no one is going to stand in her way and she will become the first female to win the X-Division Championship.

After she takes out Jake Crist, she has her sights set on Sami Callihan next. The one person that has continued to best her.

Molly Holly vs. Trish Stratus vs. Gail Kim WWF Women’s Title RAW 08/11/03

Today’s Free Match Friday goes back to 2003.

Molly Holly was the champion heading into this match and was in her second reign. She won the title in July of that year from Gail Kim who won the title in her debut match. Kim held the title for 28-days. Trish Stratus was part of the match because Holly was no stranger to feuding with her as that is who she won her first title from.

This Triple Threat match was the perfect example of a good match jammed into a small amount of time.
