Ronda Rousey has been absent from WWE since WrestleMania 35 where she lost the RAW women’s championship to Becky Lynch in a triple threat match. This match also included Charlotte Flair. Rousey was going to take a break regardless from the company after WrestleMania to focus on starting a family.
It seems like we are getting closer to see the return of The Baddest Woman on the Planet sooner than expected. Who would make her come back sooner than expected? Paul Heyman.
In her latest video, Rousey detailed how much she misses WWE and wrestling.
Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda is reporting Rousey’s return and not to SmackDown Live which is moving to Fox Network this fall. She would return back to Monday Night RAW, as she wants to work with Paul Heyman now.
“A lot has changed with RAW since WrestleMania. Banks is MIA so Becky’s leading there but Heyman coming back is a big deal. He likes working with Rousey and she likes working with him.”
“If she does come back to RAW, it might not take until October either. She wants to work with Heyman now. She wanted to the whole time.”
With the ratings down on RAW, it would not surprise the fans to see her ending up back there. Upon her return, there would most likely be a reignition of her rivalry with current RAW Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch. However, it is ultimately up to Vince McMahon where he feels Rousey fits best.
They can always do what they are currently doing with Roman Reigns, and having her appear on both shows weekly. This could help the move of SmackDown and viewership.
One thing is for sure, it seems like every day now, we are getting closer to a Rousey returning sooner than we all thought. It will be interesting to see how they will book Rousey the second go around.
If a guess had to be made, her return to WWE will be at SummerSlam which takes place in August. Will she still be a heel upon her return? Only time will tell.
