Conclusion
This brings us back to the original question: will the women ever main event a Wrestlemania again? The short (and sad) answer is probably not, or at least not for the foreseeable future. When your creative team and head booker are actively going out of the way to sabotage you from getting your story over, that’s probably a sign that things aren’t looking so great. However, when we consider TKO’s fervor to position WWE as a part of the male-dominated combat sports industry, as well as WWE’s own bootlicking of a convicted fellon and all-round derogatory human being, the odds seem next to impossible.
Who knows, perhaps the social tides will change in the future, and an undeniable opportunity will present itself for WWE to capitalise on and prominently feature their female wrestlers. But if history is anything to go by, then as long as TKO and Triple H continue to stranglehold the reins of WWE’s creative, women’s wrestling fans can expect to be stuck in an infinite carrot dangle of another womens’ Wresltemania main event.
