Charlotte Flair vs. Natalya for the SmackDown Women’s Title set for Hell in a Cell

Tonight on SmackDown Live, Charlotte Flair defeated Becky Lynch, Naomi and Tamina in a Fatal 4-Way match to earn a shot at Natalya’s Smackdown Women’s Championship at Hell in a Cell.

Earlier in the evening, Charlotte made her return to SmackDown after being away for a few weeks following her father Ric Flair’s health scare. She thanked the WWE Universe for their continued support towards her family but was interrupted by Natalya, who had scheduled a “Celebration of Women” ceremony.

Natalya would go on to make the celebration about herself which prompted Charlotte to issue a challenge to Natalya for the Title. This brought out Becky Lynch, Naomi and Tamina with Lana to issue their own challenges for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

When Natalya began to retreat to the back, SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan came out to book a Fatal 4-Way main event match featuring Becky, Charlotte, Naomi and Tamina with the winner going on to face Natalya at Hell in a Cell.

During the main event, Tamina was able to hit a top rope Superfly Splash on Becky Lynch, nearly walking away with victory but Naomi was able to break up the pin cover. This cause Lana to interfere by pulling Naomi to the outside ring.

After taking Lana down with a Roundhouse Kick, Naomi looked to get back in the match but was hit with a super kick from Tamina. Charlotte would then capitalize by landing a big boot to Tamina for the three count and win.

WWE’s Hell in a Cell takes place live Sunday, October 8th at 8pm ET on the WWE Network.
