Speaking on the upcoming season of The Celebrity Apprentice, magnate Donald Trump put over recently released Diva Maria Kanellis who stars on the show. In an interview with Digital Spy, Trump says that he was ‘selective’ with the stars selected for the new season of the show, turning down ‘six or seven people per spot’. Of the stars on the show, he specifically mentions Kanellis and fellow wrestler, Goldberg:
We wanted athletes, actors, models, wrestlers… We have a beautiful wrestler and a big wrestler, Goldberg and Maria. Maria is a beautiful woman who’s a wrestler with the WWE.
Looks like Trump missed the memo that Maria was recently let go lol, but nonetheless it’s pretty cool of him to specifically mention Maria. Word is that Maria did pretty well on the show and came across great so I’m definitely happy for her and hope this will be a good launching pad post-WWE.
