It's okay to look -- SmackDown has returned to form! Hurrah! After an iffy week with not much going on last week, this week's show was infinitely better with the blonde babyfaces proving the Divas moniker to be true -- they were smart, they were sexy and oh yes, they were powerful! You'd expect little else from the Glamazon Beth Phoenix... but Tiffany? Tiffany?! I was not expecting anything out of the former ECW GM upon reading the spoilers for this week but Tiffany girl, consider my eyes opened. Tiff Tiff shocked the hell out of me with her rather ...
As professional wrestling's Future Legend, Melissa Anderson has wowed crowds in ChickFight, SHIMMER, NCW Femme Fatales and in other promotions worldwide. In TNA, we came to know and love her as the mysterious Raisha Saeed before catching another side of her as Alissa Flash. As Saeed, Melissa managed Awesome Kong to two Knockouts Title reigns and in just a few short months as Flash, Melissa gave us great matches with the likes of Sarita and Hamada before she disappeared from television in late 2009. When we broke the news of Alissa's TNA departure in January, fans were incredibly upset to see ...
After last week's moving tribute to womankind, I was bracing myself for the worst with this week's show. Surprisingly, the WWE decided to put on a straight wrestling match rather than mold the Divas action to guest GM Criss Angel's gimmick, and for that I'm grateful. But was the match anything to write home about? Let's see: Eve Torres, Gail Kim and Kelly Kelly make their way to the ring for a 6-Diva Tag Team match. I guess it's been a while since we've seen one of those, though I haven't really missed them.. Already in the ring are Maryse, Alicia ...
Tonight was a historic night for wrestling as round two of the Monday Night Wars kicked off and in grand fashion for both the Divas and Knockouts in my opinion. Both shows featured tag team action but on Impact we got a treat. With Awesome Kong basically done in TNA, the question has remained: "What's going to happen with the Knockouts Tag Team Championships?" We got our answer and in spectacular fashion. Missing in action Knockouts Taylor Wilde and Sarita returned to television to take on The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) and the team of Angelina Love ...
She made her debut as the lip-synching popstar, Kandi Kisses on the first ever episode of Wrestlicious TakeDown this past week and she's here to tell us all about it, we catch up with the gorgeous Lizzy Valentine. We get Lizzy's reaction to the first episode, find out about her character and get her thoughts on some of the negative reaction the show has gotten. We also learn discuss Lizzy's time in TNA in 2003 as well as her one-night only return last December, plus what was it like working with WWE's Evan Bourne in Wrestling Society X? Read on ...
A few readers have pointed out that in the champions graphic on the TNAwrestling.com roster page, all three members of The Beautiful People are pictured as Knockouts Tag Team Champions.
It looks as though the trio may be defending the belts under ‘Freebird Rule‘, a gimmick that was applied to the legendary tag team The Fabulous Freebirds some years ago. Under the Rule, any two members of the trio could defend the Tag Team Championships and it looks as though the same will be applied to The Beautiful People.
We discussed the idea of them doing this on the Post Show last night and I’m sure you’ll agree, it’ll make for interesting viewing to see who defends the belts on any given night — it would certainly spice things up. Good move in my book though Lacey VE as champion seems a little scary…

On the first night of the new Monday Night Wars, TNA crowned new Knockouts Tag Team Champions on Impact. Meanwhile on Raw, it looks like we have a new title contender for Maryse’s Divas Championship. Plus, what’s Kong’s status? We have all the fallout on the all new and improved Post Raw & Impact Show.

Here is a full recap of Wrestlicious TakeDown episode two which aired tonight in Canada. The show airs in America on Mav TV on Wednesday at 11pm and will be available on the Bite TV website on Thursday morning. Thanks to Emerson at Totally-Torres.net as always for his help with the recap.
Jimmy Hart and Leyla Milani start the show. Leyla talks about how lucky she is to be hosting Wrestlicious. Jimmy adds that the crowd is lucky that they get to see Leyla!
Boot Camp Bailey comes to the (replicating Ashley Massaro’s style, right?) The crowd heavily boos her. She tries to get the crowd’s attention by shouting “Attention!” Just like Vickie Guerrero’s signatures “Excuse Me” line. She tells the crowd she is looking for a few good women for a trainee in the crowd. She chooses 3 women from the crowd. The third woman is the Wrestlicious floor manager. She gives the boot camp-like orders and tells them to march backstage with her.
It is announced that the next two girls to be in the battle royal are Felony, Naughty Girl and Charlotte (from last week).
“Are You Smarter than a Male Wrestler”
Gloria vs. Some Blonde Guy
The question is “What happened in 1776.” The blonde guy answers something dumb and “funny” as the answer, that is obviously incorrect. Gloria then goes on to tells the fans she loves her country as she proudly answers the question correctly, “The Declaration of Independence.”

TNA crowned new Knockouts Tag Team Champions tonight in the wake of Awesome Kong’s departure from the company. In storyline, Taz and Mike Tenay announced that Kong and partner Hamada had been ’stripped’ of the belts after failing to defend them in the past 30 days. In actuality, the move is due to Kong coming to terms with TNA over her release.
The new tag team champions, The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky) defeated Saritaylor and the team of Tara and Angelina Love in a triple threat tag team match to win the belts.

Tonight’s episode of Raw is hosted by the mind freak himself, Criss Angel. Will he convince us last week’s Pajama Pillowfight was just an illusion? Tune in at 9/8ct on USA Network to find out.

In honour of Women’s History Month, WWE.com has unveiled the 25 Divas they believe to be the ‘Most Impactful Women’ in WWE history and perhaps of little surprise, a certain 7-time Women’s Champion tops the list. Obviously a list of this nature will be subject to opinion. Personally, I wonder if Stacy Keibler was really more impactful than a Molly Holly or Torrie Wilson who were around at the same time as her. Of the several current girls on the list, I’m a little surprised that Michelle McCool is so high in comparison to Melina or Beth Phoenix. I know Lita’s avid fans may not be pleased with her being listed one behind Mickie James. I was [pleasantly] taken aback at Chyna placing so high, I guess WWE is thawing when it comes to her? Good for her!
Also, WWE has obviously left off the current TNA Knockouts Champion, Tara aka Victoria. That move is more strategic in not promoting TNA rather than a personal slight towards Tara, I’d assume. It is the nature of the business unfortunately and I’m see once Tara’s TNA career ends, whenever that may be, WWE will once again embrace her down the line.
As for the #1 spot, it’s become customary for Trish to take the lead and while I can’t argue with her place in history, I’d like to see things mixed up one of these days. Perhaps Moolah as #1.
Just a reminder that Wrestlicious TakeDown will not be airing in America tonight on Mav TV but will air in Canada at 11pm on Bite TV.
As of this week, the US airing of TakeDown moves to Wednesday at 11pm on Mav with an encore presentation at Friday at 11pm. It will also air on Saturday at 11.30pm on America One.
Because of the change, the online live stream of TakeDown on the Bite TV website will go up on Thursday morning after the US airing.
Canadian viewers can tune in tonight at 11pm on Bite to watch the episode. We’ll have a full recap of the show later tonight thanks to contributor, Emerson.

In a blog on her newly launched official website, now former Diva Maria Kanellis had some positive words about her former co-workers putting over several of the girls. She writes:
I will however miss the Divas. They will forever be a part of my story. Mickie giving wrestling her heart, soul and a real teacher in the ring. Michelle with her dedication to the divas division is making it grow. Nattie with all the history and excitement. Layla giving it fire, humor, and is a great friend. Kelly the girl that is the beauty that has that same desire as me to prove herself in the ring. Eve is a fighter and can choke you out! (Eve I can’t wait to come train with you now that I have some time on my hands.) Beth, the foundation, sweet, strong, and a great listener. These girls and all the Divas are my inspiration. I admire them. I will keep watching you succeed. Thank you Ladies.
Maria has every right to feel bitter about her release but I love how positive she has been and these words will, I’m sure, mean a lot to the girls in question. Maria has been very gracious and good-natured in bowing out of WWE and putting over her fellow Divas is a really nice thing to do.
