The countdown to this year’s WrestleMania is coming to a close. WrestleMania 41 takes place this weekend, April 19 and 20. 52 (really 57) matches in the history of WrestleMania include women. Diva Dirt has been counting down two matches daily to rank all 52 leading up to this year’s event. You can check out the full list so far at the bottom of this article.
Now onto 4 & 3!
4. WrestleMania 38
Bianca Belair def. Becky Lynch (c) – Raw Women’s Title
WWE may have listed this match at number 36 on its total 50 list, but here at Diva Dirt it ranks at number four because it was that good.
Becky and Bianca had one of the best overall rivalries in recent memory. The way that they had a way of leaving each other and then finding each other again made it always seem fresh. Rewatching this match and realizing how much of an “edge of your seat” feeling it gives you. The counters, reversals, and finisher attempts was crazy. And that crowd response for Bianca winning, wow! Such chills for this match.
3. WrestleMania 32
Charlotte Flair (c) def. Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch – WWE Women’s Championship
It was REALLY hard for me to figure out where the place the Top 3, and to be honest, the Top 2 are still going back and forth in my mind because they are that good. But this match was a turning point in the women’s division. It was a turning point from the Divas era (which although we love the ladies) where the women were getting dust to becoming pure Superstars.
This match will always be exciting to rewatch. Three of the best women in wrestling at the time and STILL to this day even. Many can argue with the wall all they want about who should of won, I wanted it to be Sasha, but that doesn’t take away from the match itself. What a time.
