Crown Jewel Preview & Predictions: 11.05.22

WWE’s Crown Jewel is set to take place Saturday, Nov. 5 and there are two women’s matches on the card. Both matches have implications with one another as the Raw Women’s Championship and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships are on the line.

Since SummerSlam when Damage CTRL burst on the scene as a trio, they have been feuding heavily with the Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair who has had help from Asuka and Alexa Bliss. Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL would win the Women’s Tag Team Championships but just this past Monday they would lose them to Asuka and Bliss. They have a rematch now at Crown Jewel.

As for the Raw Women’s Championship, Bayley has not been able to dethrone Belair after facing her at Extreme Rules in a Ladder Match. Now, they will do battle in a Last Woman Standing Match.

Now, Belair and company have all the gold. With Survivor Series later this month being WarGames, there is no doubt that these six women will be involved. However, who will be the champions when we get there?

Here are the predictions from Diva Dirt –

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships

Alexa Bliss & Asuka (c) vs. Damage CTRL

Colby: WWE swerved us on Monday when Alexa Bliss and Asuka returned to win the tag team titles from Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. I feel like WWE expected the backlash the booking decision received, but they already knew the rematch was coming at Crown Jewel. I could be wrong, but I feel like Damage CTRL is taking those titles right back. With WarGames approaching, every competitor needs stakes. Bliss and Asuka winning the titles establishes them as a team, and losing their gold will help propel the feud to its next level.

Winners: Damage CTRL

Nick: I am all over the place about who will win these two matches. I do think Nikki Cross is going to play a factor in it all. Thinking ahead to WarGames and how it will all pan out though I can see Alexa and Asuka retaining here. It gives Damage CTRL some fire still to get them back perhaps as part of the WarGames match.

Winners: Asuka and Alexa Bliss

Gary: I almost feel like listing the matches together but here we go. Damage CTRL takes the win and gets the titles back. I don’t love the hot potato antics either but Bliss and Asuka have nowhere to go as a team after this unless we sideline the SD Women’s title and we see Rousey/Baszler go for the tag belts. I predict Nikki Cross has a hand to play in all of this, either this match or the Bayley match but my pick stands.

Winners: Damage CTRL

Raw Women’s Championship

Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley

Last Woman Standing Match

Colby: I predicted Bayley would win at Extreme Rules, however, that was incorrect. This time around, I am still sticking with Bayley. I have a hard time believing Triple H would book another gimmick match between these two if the winner was going to be the same. I’m predicting Damage CTRL will live up to their word and have full control over the women’s division just in time for WarGames. Belair will be just fine taking a loss here, so cheers to Bayley winning her second Raw Women’s Championship.

Winner: Bayley

Nick: I don’t see all of Damage CTRL getting the titles just yet, but I do see Bayley being the one to grab the Raw Women’s Title here. I think the titles will go into WarGames split between the two groups.

Winner: Bayley

Gary: If Bianca wins this then there is no feud going forward, realistically? IMO Bayley needs to win to set up a Winner Takes All match at Wargames, hell throw in Mandy and Alba since NXT brought back Wargames, or give Dana and her belt something to do. Either way, Bayley needs the win because losing twice in a row is enough but losing something as finalizing as a Last Women Standing match? Again, Cross could play a role in this but we shall see.

Winner: Bayley
