Candice LeRae signed with WWE in January 2018. She still calls the NXT brand her home and is often in storylines with her husband, Johnny Gargano. She has competed against talents such as Kairi Sane, Nikki Cross, and Bianca Belair. She is most recently helping Io Shirai against Shayna Baszler.
LeRae spent many years on the independent scene prior to signing with WWE. She spent the better part of that time in a tag team with indie staple Joey Ryan. Intergender wrestling is a specialty of hers. WWE hasn’t showcased intergender wrestling properly since the attitude era.
She can do great things with her career with or without this component of wrestling, but WWE may hold her back to her true potential. At times she gets lost in the shuffle in NXT which may be the same case once she moves to the main roster. AEW most likely won’t shy away from this idea. LeRae may find better success with them.
