Kharma Reminisces on WWE Debut, Filming Doll Vignettes

Former WWE Diva and TNA Knockout Kharma revealed some behind the scenes details surrounding the well-received vignettes that preceded her WWE debut in May 2011, as well has her thoughts on her now infamous debut at the Extreme Rules pay per view.

Kharma, real name Kia Stevens, said she was on the edge of her seat for her debut, but knew that being a WWE employee couldn’t sink in until she had debuted on TV.

Recalling conversations she had with her fiance, Kharma told Diva Dirt: “I’m like, I just want to walk down the aisle. It won’t be real for me until I appear… It’s not real until I show up, and the anticipation, I’ve never felt such an anticipation at that height before, ever in my life. It was truly, truly magical.”

The former Knockouts Champion added the night was made all the more memorable as it was also the night Osama bin Laden was captured.

The star — who is now once again going by the name Amazing Kong on the independent scene — also discussed the vignettes that aired on Raw in the lead-up to her debut, recalling it was Triple H’s idea to have promo packages to hype up the debut of new talent, herself included.

The shoot for the promos took place during WrestleMania 27 weekend in Atlanta, Georgia, and lasted well into the night, totaling a whopping eight hours.

“We tore up so many dolls and then redressed them and tore them up again. Oh, there was just doll hair and body parts everywhere. Massive, massive carnage!

“I didn’t move. I didn’t go to the bathroom and I sat in that chair, and mostly because my new gear is a process to get into and that girdle was so tight so I said ‘If I get out of this and go to the bathroom, there’s no way I’m getting back in it!'”
