Taya Valkyrie has been working several shows in Mexico since the beginning of April.

First, she wrestled for Los Perros Del Mal in which she, Pete Powers and Talisman Jr. defeated the teams of Celestial, Cosmico and La Vaquerita and Daisuke Hanaoka, Kansuke and Keira.

Secondly, she was introduced at the end of the main event match for AAA (in which Cibernético, El Mesías, Zorro defeated Halloween, Héctor Garza, Nicho el Millionario by disqualification, thanks to interference by Teddy Hart and Perro Aguyao Jr.). Perro attacked Mesias’ arm, asked for a title shot, welcomed Halloween back into the group and then introduced Teddy, Taya and Pete Powers as new Perros.

She worked a second AAA taping on April 6 in a managerial role.

Given that her AAA appearances are for TV, this likely signifies the WWE contract she signed toward the end of last year not working out.

“Girl Dynamite” Jennifer Blake made a triumphant return to Canadian wrestling at the end of March. Blake beat Jodi D’Milo at FIGHT! 4 at the Tranzac Club in Toronto on March 25.

For CCW in Tillsonburg, Ontario on April 1, however, she was defeated by rising star Leah Von Dutch in singles action. On the same show, Ianna Titus toppled Evilyn.

Blake has been working in Mexico for the past three years, and until her match with D’Milo, had not wrestled in her home country of Canada since 2009.

She currently holds the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship with Alan Stone, and has done so since March 13, 2011.

Whilst on the subject of Canadian wrestlers, Leah Von Dutch made her debut for CHIKARA March 25 at their “It’s How You Play The Game” event held in Ottawa.

Despite a loss to Sara Del Rey, Von Dutch is said to have put in a gutsy effort and apparently received a warm reception both prior and post match.

She did manage to edge out a victory over Mena Libra on March 31 for Clash Wrestling in Michigan, and will also face off against Courtney Rush this weekend for CPW.

The show featured a singles match between Santana Garrett (who is perhaps best known for her brief appearances with TNA in 2010 as the valet of Orlando Jordan) and Christina Von Eerie – a match that Garrett won.
