Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) has released its 2022 Top Tag Team 100 list. Ranking the top 100 tag teams in wrestling of 2022, Stardom’s FWC (Hazuki & Koguma) is listed at number five beating out 95 other tag teams regardless of gender.
Hazuki & Koguma returned to wrestling in 2021 after both retiring. Coming baxk to wrestling, they were first opponents but then would form FWC (Fukuoka Double Crazy) and stable members of Stars. They would become the Goddesses of Stardom Champions by defeating Giulia & Syuri in January and held the gold until March when they dropped the titles to Black Desire (Momo Watanabe & Starlight Kid). They regained the titles in May and would hold them until August when meltear (Tam Nakano & Natsupoi) defeated them.
Although FWC was the highest-ranking women’s tag team, another team landed in the top 10. At number nine was The Hex (Marti Belle & Allysin Kay). They became the first NWA Women’s World Tag Team Champions in nearly four decades when the belts were reinstated in 2021. They also became belt collectors winning the Pro Wrestling EVE Tag Team Championships as well as the SHINE Tag Team Championships throughout this period.
The first tag team listed under the WWE banner is Toxic Attraction (Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin). They come in at number 14. They became the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships on two different occasions during the evaluation period. The group as a trio (including Mandy Rose) have terrorized the NXT women’s locker room for the better part of a year.
