Melanie
As the Editor-in-Chief of Diva Dirt, Melanie is the founder of the site. Melanie’s vision to launch an online outlet dedicated to news, opinion and intelligent discussion for the women of wrestling was realised in March 2008, when she along with good friend Erin, launched Diva Dirt.
“Being able to combine two things that I love — women’s pro wrestling and journalism — is a dream come true. Since launching Diva Dirt, I have been afforded many incredible opportunities from writing work, gaining invaluable contacts and conducting some great interviews. Seeing how far we’ve come in such a short space of time, to the point where we are read by thousands of people on a daily basis, is just incredible.”
Based in London, Melanie is a journalist who has previously been published in ‘The Sun’, Britain’s biggest and most read newspaper.
Erin
Our Production Manager, Erin, has been with Diva Dirt from the beginning. Being good friends for so long, Erin and Melanie found their writing styles meshed well together and started Diva Dirt as a two-woman crew. Erin oversees all the technical aspects of Diva Dirt including our social media outlets.
“Melanie and I started this on a whim, and never imagined that it could grow into this. I’m so proud and excited to see that it’s reached so many people!”
Erin resides in Florida and is studying for a double major in Marketing & Management.
Steven
Steven joined the Diva Dirt team in January 2009, after starting out as a loyal reader. Steven, an avid fan of SHIMMER, brings extensive and alternative coverage to Diva Dirt. Steven also attends SHIMMER taping events in Berwyn, Illinois, where he reports exclusively for Diva Dirt.
As of July 2010, Steven was promoted to the position of Raw columnist, writing our weekly ‘Raw Redux’.
“Diva Dirt is a great way for me to voice my opinions with other Diva fans, while also entertaining them. That’s what made me a regular here, before I became a writer.”
Steven resides in New York where he is a student and security guard.
Cryssi
Joining the site in January 2010, Cryssi is our resident TNA columnist. Cryssi contributes the weekly ‘Impact Write-Up’ and monthly pay per view reviews. Starting out as a reader, Cryssi had been a visitor and fan of the website for quite some time before joining the team.
“When the opportunity came to write for Diva Dirt, I was hesitant to go for it. I’ve loved the site and been an active reader of it for more than a year, but I wasn’t sure if I was good enough to write for it. After thinking about it for like a day, I decided I may as well go for it, then to my shock it worked out! I’m thrilled to finally have the opportunity to combine my passion for writing with my love for wrestling. This site is so amazing and I’m honored to be a part of it.”
Cryssi resides in Alabama.
David (Mr. Glamazon)
David, aka Mr. Glamazon, joined Diva Dirt in November 2009 as a panelist on our audio show, ‘The Post-Raw Show’. With his witty comments and flare for radio, David quickly became a favourite amongst the Diva Dirt readers and was promoted to a writing position in March 2010. David brought us extensive on-scene coverage from WWE’s WrestleMania 26 in Phoenix, Arizona before launching his own weekly column, ‘Hitting the Ropes’ in April. David also hosts Diva Dirt‘s interactive radio show, ‘Diva Dirt LIVE’ every Wednesday night.
“I am really honored to be a part of the Diva Dirt team! I have always had a passion for women’s wrestling and to be able to share my thoughts with other devoted fans has been very exciting. This website has afforded me a wonderful creative opportunity and I’d like to thank the other members of the editorial team for including me!”
David in a project manager and part-time actor in the Washington, DC area.
* Kristin Astara: Joining Diva Dirt in August 2009, former WWE developmental Diva Krissy Vaine hosts the bi-weekly audio show, ‘Kristin & Friends’. Kristin has competed in SHIMMER, Florida Championship Wrestling, Deep South Wrestling and has appeared on WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown.
* Allison Danger: Veteran independent worker Allison Danger began contributing her own bi-weekly audio show, ‘The Untitled Allison Danger Show’ in May 2010. Danger is co-founder of SHIMMER Women Athletes with Ring of Honor’s Dave Prazak.
* Amber Gertner: Amber Gertner began contributing as co-host on Allison Danger’s ‘Untitled’ audio show in May 2010. Amber also serves as a backstage interviewer for SHIMMER and is employed by online wrestling merchandise store, Highspots.com.
* Kat Waters: Former WWE Diva, Katie Lea joined the Diva Dirt team in May 2010 to pen a column entitled ‘Short & Snappy Tales of Greatness’. Kat previously posted the columns at the WWEUniverse.com website while under employment with WWE. Kat is a SHIMMER alumni and has competed on WWE’s Raw and ECW brands.
* Stew Allen & Lee Burton: Stew & Lee have been co-hosting the Women of Wrestling Podcast since August 2009. The WOW Podcast is an exclusive audio show available to Diva Dirt readers. Each episode features a new guest from the world of women’s wrestling.
