The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection should retain at WrestleMania

Sasha Banks and Bayley will compete in their biggest title defense this Sunday at WrestleMania. Their opponents in the fatal four-way are the IIconics, the returning Divas of Doom, and the team of Nia Jax and Tamina. Any of these talented teams could possibly win this match.

So who should win? The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection should retain the titles because their championship run has just begun. Banks and Bayley have only held the championships for a little over a month. A short title reign would seem foolish and unnecessary, after all the hype behind it.

Recently, Sasha spoke to Sky Sports. In the interview, she revealed that they were essential reasons why the Women’s Tag Team Championships finally came to fruition.

“It felt like the whole of last year we were asking, like we would be knocking on the door of Vince’s office every week,” Banks said.”Me and Bayley would go up to him and some weeks he’d say no and some weeks he’d say yes and then bam, it’s here.

You could see the real tears of joy in their eyes when they won them at Elimination Chamber. It was clear how much this meant to them.

As far as the other competitors in the match, it’s hard to imagine them winning the belts at this time. Beth Phoenix came out of retirement just recently and chances are she won’t stay for an extended period of time. This could potentially be a one-off.

Nia Jax and Tamina would make great heel tag team champions but they don’t have in-ring ability to produce stellar matches. Jax should return to singles action, where she is a better fit.

The IIconics, on the other hand, are a solid team who will eventually make great tag team champions. They have the on-screen chemistry of tag teams of the past. The two will wear those belts around their waists soon enough.

If the Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection retains the championship, it could set up a nice feud with the IIconics. Both of these teams can put on a solid showcase on the mic and in the ring, in a feud that could carry on into the next pay-per-view event.

Sasha and Bayley have been lost in the shuffle, taking a backseat to Ronda, Charlotte and Becky Lynch. As the Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection, winning the inaugural Women’s Tag Team Championships has given them both a much-needed boost.
