Bianca Belair dominates in her SmackDown debut

Bianca Belair is arguably the best(est) grab from the recent WWE Draft. After only having a handful of matches on RAW since WrestleMania, Belair is now focused on rising straight to the top.

In her debut match on SmackDown, she took down a competitor that she is very familiar with, Zelina Vega. Belair and Vega butted head on several occasions on RAW when The Street Profits feuded with their rivals, Andrade & Angel Garza. More, in particular, Belair came to the defense of her husband Montez Ford when he was poisoned by Vega.

Belair proved that she is everything her recent promos have been showing as she took out Vega with the K.O.D. to get the three count. She appeared on Talking Smack after SmackDown to discuss her debut, win, and future.

She says that she will be keeping a close eye on the Hell in a Cell match between Sasha Banks and Bayley. Belair intends on going straight for the SmackDown Women’s Title regardless of who is champion after Sunday.

In a WWE Network Exclusive, Belair discusses her custom made outfit that she made herself. She also comments on her victory against Vega.

What did you think of Belair’s debut and what do you see in store for her future? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

SmackDown has its Season Premiere without a women’s match

SmackDown had its season premiere this week and despite it being off the heels of a draft, not a woman match was in sight. Unfortunately, this hasn’t been the first time in recent memory that the show has gone without in-ring action. The draft saw six women come from RAW to refresh their storylines and provide us all with what many hoped was some quality entertainment. With that being said, WWE isn’t starting out on the right foot for the women of the blue brand.

The most we got to see from the new members of the SmackDown locker room was them on stage at the start of the show. Stephanie McMahon and Triple H kicked off the show but their focus was solely on the men. The men’s roster would start brawling as a result of some of the new faces from the draft which led to the disappearance of the women to the backstage area. It can be presumed that there was no need to include them in anything.

The most we heard about the women was from Daniel Bryan who said he was excited to see what Bianca Belair and The Riott Squad have in store. Speaking of Belair, who undoubtedly should be the next big thing, a promo did air for her. As great as the promo was, a match would have been even better.

With the addition of the six women (Bianca Belair, Natalya, The Riott Squad, Zelina Vega, and Billie Kay) that SmackDown acquired from the draft, we still have yet to see the repackage of Carmella.

Carmella was revealed as the mystery woman two weeks ago along with her new gimmick, “Untouchable.” Since then we still do not have any progression or have yet to see her back in the ring.

The only segment we did get for the women was a Hell in a Cell contract signing between Bayley and Sasha Banks. A segment in which Bayley refused to sign the contract even though the match is one week from Sunday. Banks of course was killing it in the style department. She delivered some good comebacks to Bayley who continues to think she has done everything in her career on her own.

Hopefully next week we will see some women’s matches on SmackDown.
