Naomi & Lana get a shot at the tag team titles on this Monday’s RAW

WWE has officially announced that WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax will be defending their titles against the team of Naomi & Lana. The match will take place on this Monday’s RAW.

Baszler & Jax has had rivalries with both Naomi & Lana and the team of Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke on the red brand while battling Natalya & Tamina on SmackDown. Last week’s RAW saw a six-woman tag match which had Baszler & Jax along with RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley defeating Naomi, Lana, and Asuka.

Naomi & Lana do have a tag team win over the champions from the April 19 episode of RAW and Naomi had a singles victory over Baszler in March. Ravishing Glow had a shot at the belts on the March 8 episode of RAW but was unable to walk away with the gold.

Tamina gets personal in a passionate promo addressing Nia Jax on Talking Smack

On this week’s Friday Night SmackDown, Tamina & Natalya picked up a win against the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax. This time they won as a team, but the past two weeks have seen Natalya pick up a singles win on Shayna Baszler while Tamina has taken down her cousin Nia Jax.

The team of Tamina & Natalya came just short of winning the tag team titles at WrestleMania and are perhaps the team closest to taking down the champions. The duo appeared on this weekend’s Talking Smack and Tamina had some words to say.

“I don’t even need to really address Shayna. You may be a great mixed martial artist but I’ve got the dungeon on my side and nobody beats that sharpshooter, you hear what I’m saying?

But now I’m gonna sit here and I’m gonna address you Nia, Sis. You have disrespected me. And you may not think I know what I’m doing, but I have come here with passion. I don’t care if you may have been here, and you think that you know better than me but you don’t.

This is our place. Do you hear me? Do you feel my passion?”

Tamina then stormed of the set with Natalya saying she was going to go check on her to make sure she was okay.

At this time there is not a championship for the tag titles booked yet for WrestleMania Backlash but if one does get booked it looks likely that Tamina & Natalya will be a part of it.

The team was also on The Bump where Natalya said some further words of encouragement and hopes to continue a push for Tamina to win her first championship.

In addition, on SmackDown was a six-person tag team match to boost towards SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair vs. Bayley at WrestleMania Backlash. Belair teamed with the Street Profits facing Bayley and the SmackDown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode. Montez Ford would pick up the pin and the win for his team.

What did you think of Tamina’s promo? Do you think that Tamina/Natalya will finally be the ones to end the reign of Baszler/Jax? Leave your thoughts below.

ROH women’s division kicks off with a tag team match that pushes the limits

Ring of Honor is gearing up for a huge relaunch to their women’s division with a tournament coming this summer to crown a new champion. Leading up to that they have announced that every Wednesday starting with this week they will have a women’s match aired on their YouTube channel. Starting next week, Maria Kanellis-Bennett will start to give a ticket to those who are invited to participate in the tournament.

The first match was a tag team match that saw Hyan & Laynie Luck taking on Rok-C & Max the Impaler. The match showcased each talent well and with a 15-minute time limit, each person was able to be highlighted. Prior to the match, each person had an introduction and promo.

The match ended in a draw as the time limit was reached.

After the match, all participants engage in a handshake and sign of respect except for Max. They made their way up the ramp instead.

Laynie Luck gets engaged in the ring during a training session

Laynie Luck found herself in a marriage proposal during a training session with her now-fiancé and fellow wrestler GPA.

Luck took to her social media to reveal the video of the engagement. During her training, GPA delivered an Irish Whip which led to the up and over in the corner. But instead of GPA finishing the move he got down on one knee and presented the ring.

The couple recently wrestled each other at Freelance/FU Chicago’s Secret Stash a few weeks ago.

Bayley to face Bianca Belair at WrestleMania Backlash for the SmackDown Women’s Title

In an advertisement for Friday Night SmackDown that was sent out to fans, it lists Bayley as Bianca Belair’s challenger for WrestleMania Backlash. This is shown to be a SmackDown Women’s Championship match.

Belair defeated Sasha Banks to win the SmackDown Women’s Title at WrestleMania two weeks ago in a historic main event. Bayley was left without a match for the event but stole the show as an extra host for both nights.

Last week Belair took the time to celebrate her momentous victory while providing a little jab to Banks. This enraged Banks to the point where she wasn’t able to get out any words to demand a rematch.

Bayley then stepped in and said that if Banks can’t ask for a rematch then she wants to bring prestige back to the SmackDown Women’s Title and wants a match against the new champion.

What do you think about Bayley taking on Bianca at WrestleMania Backlash?

Sarray impressive with a victory in her NXT debut; Kai vs. Martinez set for next week

The Warrior of the Sun has officially wrestled her first match in NXT.

Sarray is victorious in her first match for the brand. The highly anticipated match landed her across the ring from Zoey Stark. Stark has been impressive since joining the brand herself so this match-up already had the potential to be a good one and it did not disappoint. She puts away her first opponent with a spinning heel kick under the jaw, connecting with a forearm, and hitting a suplex to get the pin.

After the match, both Sarray and Stark showed excellent sportsmanship. Sarray helped up Stark who then raised her arm in victory. As Stark was making her way up the ramp she was attacked by Toni Storm. Stark defeated Storm on the pre-show of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver and it is clear that taking that loss isn’t sitting well with Storm. Sarray went over to help Stark and to prevent any further attack from Storm.

This was the only women’s match on the show this week but there were many women throughout the show. NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez was being interviewed and was asked about all of the eyes that have been fixated on her now that she is champion. She said to line all the challengers up and she will defeat them all until there is no one left standing.

Kai then focused on Martinez who called out Gonzalez last week. Martinez answered later on in the night and said she would go through Kai first so that there will be no one in her way to get to Gonzalez and the gold.

As for the former NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai, she had a sit-down interview with Beth Phoenix about her title reign and recent loss and what she sees for her future. They discussed the match from Stand & Deliver which led to Shirai saying that when the time is right she will get her rematch.

Phoenix asked her what was next in the meantime. Shirai says her body needs rest in order to face Gonzalez again. As she tries to explain possible time away from the ring, Franky Monet entered with her dog. Monet introduced herself to Shirai and says that she is such a fan of Phoenix who she has been watching since she was a kid.

Monet adds that she didn’t mean to eavesdrop but since Shirai is going to take some time off that she could fill her shoes as the top woman of the NXT women’s division. Shirai responds in Japanese and after Monet says she doesn’t understand Shirai says that she likes cats.

Lastly, we have The Way. Early in the night, Dexter Lumis took on LA Knight and Indi Hartwell appeared behind the barricade. This distracted Lumis to the point that he suffered a loss. Hartwell then tried to console him and get her kiss but The Way came and grabbed her off the apron and took her away from the situation.

Throughout the night Hartwell continued to be preoccupied with the thought of Lumis. Candice LeRae told her that she really needs to get focused and stop being distracted by boys. They need to focus on the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles. Not knowing that Hartwell had left her, LeRae was approached by the champions Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon. Once LeRae realized that Hartwell was no longer by her side, the tag champs attacked her and pulled her into the bathroom.

After being attacked, a disheveled LeRae would join her husband Johnny Gargano along with Austin Theory backstage. Theory was discussing a match that he was able to get booked in. They asked what happened to LeRae but she didn’t answer as Hartwell joined her stablemates. Hartwell says she ran into William Regal and was able to get them a tag team title match. Everyone but LeRae seemed thrilled by that announcement as she is left by herself.

What did you think of Sarray’s debut match against Stark? How about everything else that transpired for the women of the brand this week? Leave your thoughts below.

Sarray takes on Zoey Stark in her NXT debut set for tonight

The Warrior of The Sun is here. Sarray is finally set for her in-ring debut on tonight’s NXT.

https://twitter.com/WWENXT/status/1384537439142825993?s=20

Sarray, formerly Sareee, has been signed with WWE since February 2020 but has been unable to make her debut due to travel restrictions. She is a household name in Japan and has been wrestling for World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana as well as Seadlinnng. Sarray has shared the ring with the likes of Aja Kong and Meiko Satomura.

Her first opponent on the black and gold brand will be someone who has done very well for herself so far in NXT and that woman is Zoey Stark. Although Stark doesn’t have many wins under her belt just yet, she has gone up against some of the best in NXT so far including former NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai and the current champion Raquel Gonzalez. Last week she came face to face with Mercedes Martinez in a backstage segment.

What do you make of Stark being Sarray’s first opponent? Leave your thoughts below and check back in with Diva Dirt for further news, results, and a discussion post for tonight’s NXT.

Bianca Belair gives her victory speech on SmackDown which leaves Sasha Banks fuming

The EST era has begun!

Bianca Belair is the new SmackDown Women’s Champion and she was welcomed to the ring to celebrate by her husband and fellow Superstar Montez Ford alongside his tag team partner Angelo Dawkins. Once in the ring, Belair stood center to give a much-deserved victory speech as the virtual crowd chanted EST!

“Wow. I feel like I have been floating since Saturday night. My mind is blown, my heart is filled, and I just feel so blessed. But you know, despite the setbacks and the struggles, I never stopped believing that this moment was possible.

And my family, you know my family has been making history for generations and they are the ones who showed me that when you demand greatness from yourself, that no matter how hard something may get, that you can change the game. Because if you were to ask me a year ago that I ever imagined that I would main event WrestleMania, that I would win the SmackDown Women’s Championship….well I mean I probably would have said yeah.

I mean, I would have. I probably would have said yes. But that’s not cockiness. That’s just being unapologetically me. Because everybody has some EST within themselves and when you find your EST, when you know that you are talented and you know that you work hard you should never apologize for looking somebody in their face and telling them – ‘I am the B E-S-T.’ Because if you can dream it, you can do it.

Because I went to WrestleMania and I showed up and I showed out. But you know what, it’s not just about me. Sasha Banks. Sasha, thank you because there is nobody that I would rather share the spotlight with other than you. You pushed me harder than anybody else. And it takes two. We both made history. We did.

But Sasha, if you ever try to forget it. Just know that I kind of left you with a little something to remember me by. But this is also more about Sasha too. This moment is so much bigger than that. This is for all those little girls that were watching at Raymond James Stadium or even sitting at home and especially the ones that saw themselves when they looked at me. This is for you!!

At WrestleMania, it was magic but just know we are just getting started creating history.”

After her speech she motivated The Street Profits to get themselves gold in their match that came next. Once the celebration was finished, Sasha Banks was backstage and she was fuming. Kayla Braxton was trying to interview her by commenting on their match at WrestleMania.

Banks stopped her and after saying Bianca’s name showed the mark that the SmackDown Women’s Champion left on her body from her braid. Banks didn’t get out any more words as she stormed off-screen.

With Banks unable to get her words out, Bayley saw an opportunity backstage by being interviewed by Braxton. Bayley stated that Banks probably wants a rematch but she was so angry that she couldn’t put together a sentence while Belair was out in the ring showboating. She calls Belair arrogant and the reason why Belair was crying before her match at WrestleMania was that she didn’t think she could get the job done. This all while Bayley was too busy hosting both nights to try and save the show.

She ends by saying that she is challenging Bianca to take the title from her and restore dignity to the championship.

The one women’s match of the night was Natalya facing Shayna Baszler. Baszler and Nia Jax retained their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania against Natalya and Tamina. Tamin and Jax were both at ringside.

After a kick to the mouth to Natalya, Baszler tried to put her opponent away with the Kirifuda Clutch. Nattie shoved Baszler to the ropes avoid the submission and almost caused Baszler to run into Jax who was on the ring apron. The advantage was taken by Nattie as she rolled up Baszler for the win.

After the match, Jax went after Nattie but was stopped by Tamina to end the segment.

What did you think of Bianca’s speech? Do you think that Bayley will get a title match next or will Sasha get her rematch? Will Natalya and Tamina finally get tag team gold at some point? Leave your thoughts below.

Jazz gives retirement speech and promises to get Jordynne Grace a new tag team partner for Rebellion

Jazz officially gave her retirement speech on tonight’s IMPACT.

After losing to Deonna Purrazzo at last weekend’s Hardcore Justice event, Jazz promised that she would end her career officially. The match was a Career vs. Title match and the veteran Jazz was unable to grab one last title before she took her final bow.

She starts off in the middle of the ring with Jordynne Grace by her side for an emotional moment. The Phenom starts by commending Purrazzo for her win and said that she isn’t just the present of professional wrestling but the future. Jazz commends Grace as well and says the following before she was interrupted by the Knockouts Tag Team Champions, Fire ‘N Flava.

“Coming to IMPACT, hoping that I was going to have one more title run, but that didn’t happen at Hardcore Justice. You know, going into this match I knew Deonna was going to give me a run for my money, but still, I felt I had one more run. I felt that fire that I had 15 years ago, but Deonna being a true champion that you are, I know now that you are the present and the future of women wrestling. You know, Jordynne, when you gave me that call and asked me to come in and tag with you, we knew we were going to come out victorious, which we did. We got a few wins but we actually had those Knockouts tag team titles on our minds, and I just want to thank you for even considering me tagging with you. You’re the truth, girl. You’re future is bright and I mean it. Jordynne, I want to thank you and the family of IMPACT for welcoming me with open arms. I’ve never had the opportunity to work with this company through my twenty-plus years but these last few months, you talk about going out with a bang, sister, I went out with a bang.”

Fire ‘N Flava make their way out to the stage saying that it is about time that Jazz retires. An impromptu non-title match was made between the tag champs against Jazz & Grace. Jazz picked up the win for her team and had her hand raised for the last time in an IMPACT ring. After the match, she finished her retirement speech. She thanked the fans for their love and continuous support throughout the years. The IMPACT roster came out to the ring to give her a round of applause and give her a proper send-off.

After the speech was over, Fire ‘N Flava was backstage and fuming that they were forced to have a match when they weren’t even prepared. Scott D’Amore said he was tired of them always being disrespectful. He booked them to defend their Knockouts Tag Team Titles for Rebellion and originally said their opponents would be Jazz & Grace.

Once the champs stormed off, Jazz & Grace approached D’Amore. He said it was the least he could do for Jazz to give them this title match. Although she appreciates it greatly, Jazz says she has to honor her word and as a result of her loss against Purrazzo she must say goodbye to her in-ring career. However, she has the perfect partner for Grace and they will face the champs at Rebellion. D’Amore says he trusts that whoever she has in mind is a good fit and the match is set.

Who do you think will end up being Grace’s opponent?!

Will it be someone unexpected or perhaps will it be the returning Taylor Wilde. For week’s we have seen vignettes progressively showing the return of former two-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion Wilde. Tonight the most recent one finally showed Wilde with her saying “Let’s get Wilde!”

Tenille Dashwood is the current number one contender for the Knockouts Title and she will be facing Purrazzo at Rebellion. Dashwood ushered in a brand new talk show named All About Me. The talk show is a chance for her “guests” to be the “host” and ask her any questions they see fit.

Her first “host” was Gia Miller. Before Miller could get her question out, Dashwood interrupted her. She said she knows she is going to ask her how is she so sure that she is going to win the Knockouts Championship. She says she is going to win because she is good at everything and she started the women’s revolution. Dashwood feels that it is ironic that she hasn’t won the Knockouts Title yet. She has faced Purrazzo outside of IMPACT and has never lost to her.

Rebellion is set to take place on April 25.

What did you think of this week’s IMPACT? Who do you think Jazz will find to be Jordynne’s partner for Rebellion? Do you think Tenille will become the next Knockouts Champion? Leave your thoughts below.

Winners & Losers: NXT 04.13.21

NXT is now on Tuesday nights and there is a lot to unpack already.

There was an advertised debut, two matches that involved the women including the main event, a lot of eyes on the new champion Raquel Gonzalez, and a surprise moment that was heartwarming to see.

The first match of the night was from an altercation that happened earlier in the day. Mercedes Martinez was heated because after she paired back up with The Robert Stone Brand a few weeks ago she didn’t get paid as she wanted. This was done because Jessi Kamea wasn’t able to compete. She approached Aliyah and Robert Stone backstage. When she wasn’t getting her money she choked Aliyah up against the way until Kamea entered. Martinez asked her if she wanted to step up to her. Kamea said no, she wanted to step on her.

Mercedes Martinez defeated Jessi Kamea

Despite the confidence that Kamea presented, the match was way shorter than it needed to be and Martinez was able to pick up the victory. After the match, Martinez went after Stone and Aliyah. Aliyah was able to escape around the barricade to the other side of the plexiglass but Stone wasn’t so lucky. Martinez held him up against the plexiglass until he gave her the money she was requesting.

As she was walking away checking her money, she stopped at the announce table and delivered a message to Raquel Gonzalez. Martinez has her eyes set on the new champion and wants to take the gold for herself as she states she is coming for her.

She isn’t the only woman that has her eyes set on Gonzalez. The debuting Franky Monet made a huge statement as she let the new champion know that she will be seeing her every Tuesday night. For a full rundown of what took place during Monet’s debut, you can click here to see the previous report.

After Monet and her adorable dog left the ring, a moment happened that no one was expecting. The new RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and the new SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair joined Gonzalez in the center of the ring to celebrate their victories. Behind them on the screen was a photo of all three of them together. It was a beautiful and a fully realized moment of what we have witnessed this past week.

In a WWE Network Exclusive that was just uploaded, it shows Triple H being the proud papa as he takes photos with all three champions. Then after he leaves the three women to discuss their wins with one another and Ripley mentions that it is the start of a new era. They all agree and Belair says that the ones that came before them don’t have to leave but they need to make some space. Plus there is more coming behind them as well.

The main event saw an eight-person tag team match that pinned the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart along with Dexter Lumis and Bronson Reed against all four members of The Way.

Blackheart, Moon, Reed, and Lumis defeated The Way

This match had a bit of everything and was fun to watch. As the match starts to wind down to its finish, Indi Hartwell pretended to be knocked out in the ring as Lumis was trying to put Johnny Gargano to sleep. Once Lumis realized that Hartwell was “knocked out” he showed concern. As he goes to help her up, Austin Theory takes him out and Lumis spills to the outside. Hartwell then disposes of her own teammate Theory out on the other side of the ring. She then falls down again on the ring apron and Lumis picks her up to take her to the back. She picks her head up, winks, and smiles with a thumbs up. #Index.

Back to the action in the ring. Moon climbs on top of Reed’s shoulders and delivers an Eclipse on Theory. Candice LeRae then dumps Moon to the outside. Reed then fights off Gargano and Theory in the corner as he is perched up on the top turnbuckle. LeRae then tries to deliver a superplex to Reed as Blackheart shows up to place her on her shoulders and drop her on top of Theory. Reed then hits a Tsunami for the pin and the victory for his team.

Other women who made appearances on the show are Zoey Stark, Marina Shafir, and the announcement of Sarray’s debut.

Stark was seen backstage being interviewed about how she felt competing at her first TakeOver event. She says just four months ago she was living in Las Vegas trying to make ends meet. Now she has a huge victory over Toni Storm and has her eyes set on the NXT Women’s Title. Mercedes Martinez had something to say about that statement. Martinez says that she is the next in line for a title shot and that we shouldn’t be wasting our time on some rookie.

Shafir didn’t play any big part in the show but she was alongside her husband Roderick Strong. Strong turned in his resignation to William Regal who stated that he was always welcome back. What this may mean for Strong and if Shafir is going to play a part in it remains to be seen. Shafir was last seen in action alongside Zoey Stark in the Dusty Cup in January.

Lastly, Sarray will be making her long awaited debut next week. Sarray was signed a while back and because of the pandemic she wasn’t able to get to the United States. She is here now and the video hyping her debut from Regal seems to be big things on the horizon for this talent.

Now let’s get into the Winners & Losers of the week:

WINNER: Raquel Gonzalez (and Rhea Ripley/Bianca Belair)

Although I am not loving the fact that Raquel seems to be a babyface all of a sudden, she 100% deserves this title win. Her recapping her history and how much she has grown showed that. Her interaction with the debuting Franky was great. And the big moment between her and Rhea and Bianca was something that I was not expecting in the slightest and made me emotional from all three wins this past week.

WINNER: Franky Monet

Good first impression of Franky. And for a change we have someone who is debuting who I feel has a good entrance and music to go along with it. The Torrie Wilson vibes are real. Going right towards the champ is good also and at the same time it doesn’t feel like she is necessarily jumping the line as Mercedes and Zoey both mentioned they have their eye on the prize as well.

WINNER: Indi Hartwell

Indi has so much talent. Both in the ring and her ability to make everyone laugh. I was fully expecting the Index moment and I am still good with it happening as it did. Her thumbs up was great and the WWE Network Exclusive that has come out is even better. She explained where she went missing was that she had to go to “medical” to be “cleared.” *wink wink* The Way is actually a stable where all four of them play their parts so very well.

LOSER: Jessi Kamea

It’s hard to pick a loser because everything was solid. But the constant jobbing that The Robert Stone Brand gets to be tiring. Kamea stands up to Martinez in the clip from earlier today to just lose in a minute. I didn’t expect her to beat Martinez but at least they could have had a solid match.

If RAW and SmackDown would start using their women as much as NXT does then it would be a lot more fun discussing the Winners & Losers of the week.

One last thing before I go, same vibe?

What did you think about this week’s NXT? Who were your Winners & Losers? Leave your thoughts below.

Bianca Belair reflects on becoming SmackDown Women’s Champion while thanking Sasha Banks

“Imagine this rookie being the one to end Sasha Banks’s reign as SmackDown Women’s Champion. And I did it. I did it. I did it and it’s just an amazing feeling. I just knew I had to give it my all. Sasha Banks is amazing and I can’t thank her enough.” – Bianca

In her first-ever singles match at WrestleMania. In the main event. Bianca Belair defeated The Blueprint Sasha Banks to win her first gold in WWE, the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

It was a history-making moment that people will remember for a lifetime. Tears were shed and emotions were high. As the opening bell rang it already pulled in each and every fan at Raymond James Stadium and those at home.

Belair took part in a Watch Along moment after her gigantic win to send many thanks, how it felt to be back in front of a live crowd and wanting a rematch against Banks.

“That first moment, I felt like we just felt the moment. Hearing the fans for the first time in over a year. Hearing EST and Boss, we just wanted to stay in that moment because it was an amazing opportunity to main event WrestleMania. We were creating history and we wanted that image to be in the world. Just standing there, that was honestly one of my favorite parts of the match. Just taking my time and soaking it all in. That’s what this was all about. That moment, in the beginning, that’s what I’m going to remember for the rest of my life. That feeling, making people feel something. What we do, we do to put smiles on fans faces. The fans put a smile on our faces in that moment. My heart was so full of love and joy and my mind is just so blown. I’m just so full of joy. I’m blessed.”

Belair was asked how the support from fans and the drive from her husband, family, and faith keeps her going.

“What I can say is winning this title means so much to me, but when it’s not just about me and I feel like everyone feels like they’re part of it, this is what this is about. And my purpose is to inspiring people, and touching people, and connecting with people because that’s what lasts. Your time, it can come and it can go and it can come back but the way you connect with people in the way you inspire people, you know my role models inspired me I’m here because of them.”

Belair’s time on the main roster has been short. Just a year now. However, in that year she has done a lot without a live audience and without her family being able to see her in person. Her debut was done without a live crowd, her Royal Rumble win was done without a live crowd, now finally her family and fans were able to see her in person and achieve such a beautiful moment.

Even her opponent who she has given an immense amount of praise to was trying to fight back smiles after her loss.

Other Superstars took to social media as well to praise both women in the main event and to congratulate Belair on her win. Talent from not only WWE but throughout the industry has said many positive messages surrounding what we witnessed last night.

Bianca has already said she is ready for a rematch against Sasha Banks to further cement that she is indeed the EST of WWE.

A huge congratulations once again from Diva Dirt to Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks for delivering such an amazing moment. Looking forward to seeing what comes next!

Carmella & Billie Kay added to Tag Team Turmoil match and the final push for WrestleMania

The resume and headshot must have worked as Carmella has now accepted Billie Kay as her tag team partner. They have officially been added to the Tag Team Turmoil match at WrestleMania which will take place on Night One this Saturday.

After a match between one-half the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Tamina which ended in a disqualification, The Riott Squad was about to be interviewed backstage as Billie Kay showed up. Liv Morgan asked her what she was doing here because she doesn’t have a tag team partner. Carmella entered and asked if there was a problem because Kay is with her.

Ruby Riott says she and Morgan are laser-focused on the Tag Team Turmoil match set for this weekend. Riott says that she and Morgan are more in sync than ever after they got rid of their “sidekick” (Kay). Carmella says that if she wanted a lesson on friendship then she would watch an after-school special. The tag titles she says are hers, well ours.

Then entered Mandy Rose/Dana Brooke and Naomi/Lana. The four teams start brawling in the back before Natalya and Tamina show up to deliver more pain to their opponents. Natalya and Tamina leave as the last team standing yet again as they walk away from the rest of the women laid out on the ground.

Carmella and Kay being added to this match had a bit of confusion surrounding it from earlier this week when the Tag Team Turmoil match was first announced. Originally scheduled as just four teams, the WWE WrestleMania Twitter account mistakenly added Carmella and Kay to the graphic. The post was then deleted shortly thereafter.

Who will end up winning the Tag Team Turmoil match and go on to face the champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler for the tag titles on Night Two?

Before SmackDown aired, it was announced on social media that the SmackDown Women’s Championship will be decided in the main event of Night One of Mania. Tonight’s episode of SmackDown was taped which was prior to them learning they will be the main event. Both the champion Sasha Banks and the challenger Bianca Belair had backstage interviews that were aired on tonight’s show. Both can be viewed below.

Check back in with Diva Dirt for further news, rumors, and results for this weekend’s WrestleMania.

Paul Heyman motivates Natalya & Tamina on Talking Smack to get a WrestleMania match

Natalya & Tamina were guests on this weekend’s Talking Smack. During this, Natalya cut a promo stating she is tired of being a doormat and tired of being the nice one or the politically correct one.

Natalya says, “We are that directive. We are the directive. Is that good enough for you Kayla [Braxton], was that a good enough answer? Was that politically correct enough for you? Am I being sweet enough, kind enough, awesome enough? Am I pretty enough? Am I enough for you anymore? Or should I knock on Vince’s door and ask him what the hell he wants from me? Because I am tired of being a good girl. Being a good girl, being a doormat, got me nowhere, and doormats get walked on. Bitch. Did I answer your question?”

As of the time of this writing, there is no tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships for the big two-night event coming in less than a week. This is obviously going to change with the melee of tag teams we saw get into it on Friday Night SmackDown.

This added to the rumor that the first night of Mania will see a number one contender tag team match between multiple teams. The winner of that match will face the champions, Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler, on Night Two.

Natalya defeated Baszler in mere seconds on last Friday’s SmackDown and then after the tag teams were done battling it was Natalya & Tamina as the last one’s standing as the champions retreated up the ramp.

After Natalya’s response to Braxton, the Talking Smack host tried to calm her down by explaining she can see how passionate she is. This is where Paul Heyman stepped in.

Heyman says, “You know I love you right?” Natalya responds with, “I hope.” He continues, “If I haven’t proven to you over the years, with all the support that I’ve given you. With the 3 A.M. text messages back and forth, I love you. I love you as if you were my own sister. I’m gonna tell you something from the bottom of my heart, cut the shit, please. Come on. Stop bitching and moaning and complaining and kvetching about not being in WrestleMania and do something about it. And if knocking on Vince McMahon’s door, or kicking down Vince McMahon’s door, or stretching Vince McMahon down on the ground doesn’t get the job done then smack around every single person on the female roster until there’s no roster left and the [you will be] only females left to be on WrestleMania to represent a female empowerment movement. Just eliminate all the competition that stops you from being on WrestleMania and there shouldn’t be competition for the two of you being on WrestleMania because you have earned your spot on WrestleMania for years, and years, and years and it’s not like you just fell off a cliff. You deserve it and you’ve earned it now.”

He continues by adding in the legacy of both Natalya and Tamina as a motivator to get them to do what they need to do to get on the WrestleMania card and to the thop of the division.

“If your father [Natalya’s] saw you this way he would pull the hair off his chin and the chin off his face and if your grandfather saw what you were doing he’d beat the crap out of your father for raising you this way. And I won’t even say what your father [Tamina’s] would do if he saw you this way. Do something about it, damn it. Stop bitching, moaning, and complaining. You wanna be on WrestleMania, get your asses on WrestleMania. Impose your will as you’ve done for years. That’s what your family and her family has always been about. You’re a member of the Hart family. You’re a member of a dynasty. If they left you off WrestleMania wrongfully, get your asses on WrestleMania. Okay?”

Tamina then gets in the face of Heyman and responds with, “O-Kay.”

WWE Icons: Beth Phoenix to air this Sunday – Trailer released

Beth Phoenix will have her WWE Icons episode air this coming Sunday on both Peacock and the WWE Network. WWE Icons is a newer documentary series which focuses on Hall of Famers and Legends. This will be the first one released for a female Hall of Famer.

Phoenix is currently a full-time commentator for the NXT brand for WWE. She is a former three-time WWE Women’s Champion and a one-time Divas Champion. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.

The Glamazon has taken part in a handful of matches since her return to the company. These have included two Royal Rumble matches and she went for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania with Natalya.

This looks like a good one to watch. Will you be watching?

Winners & Losers: SmackDown 03.19.21

The last SmackDown before Fastlane had the focus on the match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles which will be defended this weekend. Nia Jax took on Sasha Banks with the SmackDown Women’s Title on the line at the top of SmackDown. Prior to the match, Banks and her partner for this Sunday and opponent at WrestleMania, Bianca Belair, had some words backstage.

Belair was trying to understand why Banks would agree to have this match. Banks allowing Reginald to get into her head is something that Belair has constantly been concerned about as they need to be on the same page for Fastlane.

It is also clear that Belair wants to have the upcoming highly anticipated WrestleMania match against Banks and not Jax — which we can all agree with. The EST then let her know that she wouldn’t be coming out to bail her out but she did make an appearance during the match to hype up Banks.

Reginald was not present as he was treated to a “day at the spa.”

Sasha Banks (c) defeats Nia Jax to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship

It was all Jax on the offense in the first half of the match. Shortly after Belair came down to the ring, Banks started to gain some momentum.

After a failed sunset flip by Banks, Jax tried to capitalize with a standing leg drop but missed. Banks then executed a reverse Meteora but couldn’t get the three count.

Moments later, Banks tried to get Jax to the mat so that she could lock in the Bank Statement but she had to counter out of the strength of her opponent to deliver. After planting Jax, Banks was able to apply the submission in the middle of the ring.

Baszler and Belair then stir on the outside and the fight heads into the ring. Baszler went to deliver a kick to Banks but missed and nailed Jax instead. Belair tosses Baszler out of the ring for Banks to execute a jackknife cover to get the three count and retain her title.

After the match, Baszler tried to apologize to Jax who was concerned that they may be in trouble come Fastlane. She says she will face Belair later on in the night.

Shayna Baszler vs. Bianca Belair ends in a no contest

This match was rather quick and Jax left ringside as the match was considered a no contest when both Belair and Baszler were attacked by Natalya and Tamina. This shows even more why the booking is all wrong as we head into the last pay-per-view before WrestleMania.

Building up Natalya and Tamina is a solid thing for them. As veterans in the business and not seeing either one of them grabbing a singles title anytime soon them going for (and winning), the tag titles would be a nice thing to see. What doesn’t make sense is why aren’t they facing Baszler & Jax at Fastlane?

Banks and Belair could build-up to their WrestleMania match without being involved in the tag titles. They could have continued to use Reginald and Carmella who apparently can only be shown on Network Exclusives or short backstage segments as of late.

Speaking of Carmella, she was seen in a Network Exclusive discussing getting a new sommelier. Billie Kay was caught in the background eavesdropping as Carmella was being interviewed on what qualities she looks for in a sommelier. After Carmella walked away, Kay says she is updating her resume and wants to see #KayforSommelier start trending.

Prior to SmackDown airing, both Chelsea Green and Santana Garrett posted separate photos on their social media. They were each standing in front of the SmackDown sign backstage which had many hoping they would be used on last night’s show. Green is a member of the roster but went out with an injury from her debut match in November. Garrett was rumored to have been called up to the main roster but hasn’t been seen last July other than a Royal Rumble appearance.

This would have been a nice introduction to have two more women introduced into the roster but of course, we can’t have nice things.

Let’s get into the Winners & Losers of the week:

Please note that it was very hard to pick any Winners & Losers from this week and not in a good way.

WINNER: Sasha Banks

She retained her title, kept the one exciting thing I am looking forward to WrestleMania for intact. That’s the biggest win of the week for the blue brand. I am just ready for after this Sunday where she can start actually feuding with Bianca instead of them trying to be a team. Hopefully, they won’t win the tag titles because we don’t need a reason to not have the tag titles stand alone in a WrestleMania match.

WINNERS: Natalya & Tamina

Just add them to the match for Fastlane at this point and let them take the titles. Have Shayna face Asuka at WrestleMania and let’s move on. Please.

LOSER: Shayna Baszler

Old Shayna would have never apologized to Nia. Let’s please have them go their separate ways. This team has run its course. Shayna is definitely getting the short end of the stick out of everything as well.

Io Shirai vs. Raquel Gonzalez added to TakeOver: Stand & Deliver

It’s been made official, Raquel Gonzalez has signed the contract and Io Shirai has her opponent for the next TakeOver event. Stand & Deliver will lead us into WrestleMania as it will take place over the course of two nights April 7 & April 8. This NXT Women’s Championship match will take place on night one.

https://twitter.com/RaquelWWE/status/1373325385971204099?s=20

On the March 10 episode of NXT, Shirai approached Gonzalez after her loss alongside Dakota Kai as the inaugural NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. After defeating Toni Storm that same night, Shirai was looking for her next opponent. She ran right into Gonzalez and confronted her.

This match has been an idea for quite some time. Gonzalez pinned Shirai in the last WarGames match that took place in December. Since then, Gonzalez took out Rhea Ripley in a Last Woman Standing match.

Could this be Raquel’s time to lead the division? Do you think we will have a new NXT Women’s Champion just around the corner? Discuss in the comments!

Steph De Lander reportedly signs with WWE

In a report by PWInsider, Australian wrestler Steph De Lander has signed with WWE. De Lander started wrestling in 2017 and was trained by indie star and former two-time SHIMMER Champion Madison Eagles. She has wrestled for such promotions as Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW), PWA, Black Label Pro, and SHIMMER just to name a few.

De Lander became the inaugural women’s champion for MCW when she defeated KellyAnne in the finals of a tournament in 2019. She has faced Avary, Candy Lee, and has even battled current NXT star and fellow Australian – Indi Hartwell.

De Lander has also gone by the name of FaceBrooke.

She recently took to her social media for International Women’s Day to discuss the lack of booking of women’s matches in Australia.

WWE has not confirmed De Lander’s signing at this time.

What do you think of this new addition for the NXT brand? Leave your thoughts below.

Baszler & Jax retain tag titles in controversial fashion on NXT

After tonight’s Women’s Tag Team Championship match on NXT, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax are still the champions.

The storytelling was there, the action was there, but when it came to Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez getting the win it wasn’t in their favor. What caused them to lose however was controversial in nature. Kai went to sleep as she was locked into Baszler’s Kirifuda Clutch which led to the call for the match. However, Kai wasn’t the legal competitor.

Prior to this decision, Gonzalez tagged into the match. She then took out Jax who was on the ring apron but at the same time knocked the official (Aja Smith) down. With the referee unresponsive, the two went launching over the announce table leaving Baszler and Kai in the ring.

With the referee still down, Adam Pearce shows up with a RAW referee in tow to finish the match. That official, Shawn Bennett, then calls for the bell with Kai locked in the Kirifuda Clutch.

Because of this controversy, General Manager William Regal and Pearce were seen arguing later on in a conference room. Afterward, Regal made a big statement that he will be making an announcement on next week’s NXT that will change the landscape of the brand. What could this mean?!?!

What did you think of this match result? Do you think Gonzalez & Kai will end up getting a rematch? What is Regal going to announce? Leave your thoughts below.

The Treatment of Female Legends in WWE is Subpar at Best

By: Kashawn Taylor

Anytime WWE announces some type of legends night or reunion, the reactions vary from excitement to annoyance to pure ambivalence.  The whole idea of a “legends night” or reunion, in my opinion, is a farce, a ploy for ratings, hoping to bring back that nostalgic feeling and along with it, nostalgic former viewers.  But the way these reunions are presented, and female legends as a whole, is horrible compared to the treatment male legends receive.

When a male legend returns, it is usually too huge fanfare and a large amount of time in the spotlight.  When female legends return, they are usually grouped together in a multi-person match or relegated to backstage segments. To better explain what I mean, we can take a look at some of the past returns of female legends.

The first example of this treatment can be dated back to the Diva era.  Back at WrestleMania 25, WWE announced plans for a Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal featuring women from the past along with current superstars.  Some of the returning superstars included Miss Jackie, Torrie Wilson, Molly Holly, and Victoria.  The match was the second-shortest on the card (aside from a 20-second match for the IC championship).  The women did not get their own entrances, came out together, and a man dressed in drag eventually won the seven-and-a-half-minute match.

The match which can be seen below ironically is still up on WWE’s YouTube page with the comments turned off.

Trish Stratus and Lita steered clear of the match and for good reason.  WWE clearly did not have any intention of giving the spotlight to the women that night.  The match featuring male legends ran a bit longer, but featured only four people total, allowing them a chance to shine as individuals.

Even the first and only all-female pay-per-view, Evolution, featured returning legends bunched together in a battle royal match.  Only Trish Stratus and Lita were given their own tag team match, which opened the show, and as we know, the opening and closing matches are considered big spots.  While each woman in the battle royal came out to their own music, there was nothing of note in the match, as it was filled with comedy spots and dance breaks.

WWE had the chance to do something interesting with the first all-women’s pay-per-view, but squandered the opportunity.  They could have put on dream matches, or at least listened to the fans and talent who suggested better ideas than what was presented.  Torrie Wilson even noted she pushed for a tag team match against The IIconics.  WWE could have highlighted their female legends the way they do people like Edge, Big Show, Ric Flair, and others.

Next, we can take a look at numerous special episodes of RAW where the women did not get to do much of anything, despite it being a three-hour show.  For example, at RAW 25, WWE advertised many of RAW’s greatest female superstars and all they did was stand on stage and wave.  Other shows like RAW Reunion and Legend’s Night featured the women in backstage segments.

Although the 24/7 Championship changed hands between the likes of Alundra Blayze, Kelly Kelly, and Candice Michelle, the segments were short and did not capture the essence of what these women brought to the women’s division.  Basically, what the company is saying, if you aren’t Trish or Lita, do not expect to have any significant amount of time or spotlight.  In fact, Trish Stratus is the only female legend to have a singles match or return storyline with Charlotte Flair at Summerslam

Credit: WWE

Another prime, and disheartening example, is the return of Mickie James to WWE.  Mickie quickly shot to fan favorite status due to her storyline with Trish Stratus.  She would go on to win six championships, but would unceremoniously exit WWE and join Impact Wrestling.  After leaving Impact, Mickie would make a surprise return to WWE in NXT, during a storyline where management had to look outside the company for someone who was ready for Asuka.

Mickie’s match with Asuka was amazing and she easily showed that “she still got it” and this led to a return on the main roster, but perhaps she would have fared better in NXT.  Since her return to the main roster, she has not been a featured player aside from a few championship matches to elevate said champion.   Even now, Mickie James is not being used while Goldberg and Edge are back, winning championships and Royal Rumbles.  Mickie is consistently referred to as a legend in WWE, but younger viewers have no idea why that is. Video packages can only do so much and the constant losing and sidelining of Mickie James dampens her legacy and tarnishes her status as a legend.

Credit: WWE

It is clear that WWE does not care about their female legends the way they care about their male counterparts.  From the insignificant returns to the numerous multi-woman matches that do not highlight any of the returning women, WWE continuously drops the ball when it comes to the returns of their female legends.

It is evident that WWE has a selective memory when it comes to their female talent and their treatment of female legends only shows that their performative feminism is just that – a publicity stunt to capitalize on the success of women in sports.  So, unless the name is Trish Stratus, Lita, or more recently, Beth Phoenix, we as fans cannot expect to see any significant action when it comes to the return of female legends.  Women like Mickie James, Michelle McCool, and Victoria may never be given the same spotlight as Trish, Lita, or male legends who have returned and had high-profile stories.

Do you think WWE will ever change their treatment of female legends?  Sound off in the comments below!

Charlotte Flair eyes up the RAW Women’s Title to challenge Asuka at WrestleMania

On last night’s RAW, Charlotte Flair threw out the idea of challenging Asuka and her RAW Women’s Title. Prior to laying out the challenge, Flair says that when she returned from her hiatus that her thought wasn’t to be in the championship picture. In fact, she said she didn’t want to be around the RAW Women’s Title picture because Asuka has worked very hard since becoming champion.

She continues by saying that all she ever wanted was to be a good tag team partner for Asuka and show her that respect. Along the way, Lacey Evans and Charlotte’s father, Ric Flair, got in her way.

What did end up happening was they became Women’s Tag Team Champions for a little over a month. Asuka was not present on this week’s RAW as she suffered a legitimate injury last week after she lost a tooth from a kick to the face by Shayna Baszler.

Flair acknowledges that the SmackDown Women’s Championship match is set for WrestleMania. Bianca Belair chose Sasha Banks. Where does this leave the RAW Women’s Championship for the biggest show of the year? When Asuka returns, Flair plans on issuing the challenge.

Before she could continue, the Women’s Tag Team Champions made their way out. Baszler let Flair know that this year’s road to WrestleMania isn’t what she is used to. Jax added the notion that Flair is no longer the power in the RAW Women’s division and the power has shifted. She says it will be either Baszler or more likely herself that will face Asuka at WrestleMania.

This encounter led to a match between Basler and Flair. Flair had to overcome the numbers game as Jax did everything she could to try and distract her. After the Natural Selection, Flair was able to get the win.

As for Jax, she was able to pick up a win for herself earlier in the night as she defeated Naomi via pinfall after delivering a powerbomb.

Naomi & Lana are still awaiting their shot at the tag team championships, but who will end up being the champions when they do? Jax & Baszler need to get through the team of Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez this week on NXT first. In a WWE Exclusive, the champions deliver a message for their challengers on Wednesday.

Due to Flair spending years on the SmackDown brand, she hasn’t held the RAW Women’s Championship since she dropped it to Bayley in February 2017. With WrestleMania still weeks away, there could be the option to include Rhea Ripley as she is coming soon to RAW.

Who do you think will end up facing Asuka at WrestleMania? Is it going to be a singles match or do you think we may get a Triple Threat? Leave your thoughts below.

Bianca Belair picks Sasha Banks to face at WrestleMania for the SmackDown Women’s Title

Bianca Belair has made it official that she has chosen to go against Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Title at WrestleMania. From winning the Royal Rumble match in January, Belair had an important decision to make. Which champion should she go after?

She stands front and center in the ring alongside authority figures Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville to give her answer. Belair starts by saying the choices that one makes defines who they are and her choice is clear. As she is about to make the announcement, Reginald interrupts her.

Reginald declares that Belair is special and says she is living her dreams. However, he stays strong in his stance that if she chooses to face Banks then her dreams will become a quick nightmare. Banks then enters the ring and pushes Reginald to the side after reminding him that he has been told to never speak for her.

Banks says that she isn’t just the champion but she is the standard. If Belair wants to make history and be the topic of conversation then she would choose her to face at WrestleMania. She continues saying that she doesn’t believe that Belair is the EST because she herself is the best. This would make her number one and would make Belair second best.

Belair said that she is going to make Banks eat her words on the grandest stage of them all. Confidently, she says she is going to take Banks’ title and will go on to prove that she is the b-E-S-T of WWE.

“So Sasha, [obligatory point to the WrestleMania sign] it’s on!!”

Also on this week’s SmackDown, Liv Morgan faced Tamina in a singles match. Tamina picked up the win by delivering a Samoan Drop following up by driving Morgan into the mat.

Check back in with Diva Dirt for further news on SmackDown and WrestleMania which will take place on April 10 & April 11.

Toni Storm battles Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Title in two weeks

Toni Storm is still focused on becoming the NXT Women’s Championship and she will have a one-on-one chance against the champion on March 10.

After Shirai defeated Zoey Stark in a great match for the newcomer, Storm made her way out on the stage. She reminds Shriai that it was Mercedes Martinez that the champion pinned during their Triple Threat match at Vengeance Day and not her. With this being said, Storm feels that Shirai cannot beat her one-on-one. Shirai responds saying she will take on the challenge anytime, anyplace, anywhere.

Prior encounters between these two competitors in singles action have resulted in a DQ to Storm’s favor in January 2020. Storm also defeated Shirai at Evolution to win the second Mae Young Classic in 2018.

If Toni is able to defeat Io then she will become the second woman to have held both the NXT UK and NXT Women’s Titles. Second of course to Rhea Ripley.

Do you think Shirai’s time as champion may be over or will her reign continue in two weeks? Leave your thoughts below.

Jazz & Jordynne Grace earn a Knockouts Tag Team Title shot at Sacrifice on March 13

IMPACT’s next event on IMPACT Plus is Sacrifice and the Knockouts Tag Team Titles will be on the line. The champions Fire ‘N Flava will be defending their titles against Jordynne Grace & Jazz.

At the last IMPACT Plus event, No Surrender, Fire ‘N Flava retained their titles against the team of Havok & Nevaeh. Grace & Jazz earned this upcoming title shot by winning a number one contenders match on this week’s IMPACT as they defeated Susan & Kimber Lee. To conclude the match, Grace was locked in an ankle lock by Susan and after she avoided tapping out she delivered a Grace Driver to pick up the win.

Grace and Jazz then stumble upon ODB who was attacked backstage. Grace comes to the conclusion that it had to have been Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo who did this.

Also this week Havok & Nevaeh are spotted backstage discussing their recent losses. Havok is trying to convince Nevaeh that just because they have hit a rut in the win column doesn’t mean they have to break up. As Nevaeh walks away Tenille Dashwood is on a mission. She heard everything that was said and tries to recruit Havok. Havok declines.

What did you think of this week’s IMPACT? What are your thoughts on the upcoming Knockouts Tag Team Title match? Leave your thoughts below!!

WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles stay put at Elimination Chamber

Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax are still the Women’s Tag Team Champions after their victory at Elimination Chamber. They defeated Bianca Belair & SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks. Shockingly, Banks took the fall on a pin by Jax.

As the action dwindled down in the match, Jax receives a Meteora by Banks where she gets a near fall. Reginald then makes his way down to the ring with a champagne bottle. Carmella’s sommelier has been suspiciously on the side of Banks as of late. Banks is able to get Jax in the Bank Statement despite the appearance of Reginald.

After Jax is able to get out of the submission, Reginald hands Banks the champagne bottle. This gets the referee’s attention who snatches the bottle. This left Banks confused about the situation that she is distracted enough for Jax to capitalize. After a Samoan Drop, Jax pins the SmackDown Women’s Champion and retains the tag titles.

Jax and Baszler have another title defense set up for March 3 against NXT’s Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez. This match developed after Kai & Gonzalez won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Naomi & Lana also won a title shot several weeks ago but have yet to get a date for that match.

Zoey Stark makes a powerful debut on the NXT brand

Zoey Stark made her singles debut in NXT on this week’s episode. Stark had an official debut for WWE in tag team action during the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside Marina Shafir. That match aired on 205 Live and they lost to Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon.

In her match tonight she faced Valentina Feroz and came out with the victory. She put away Feroz with a tilt-a-whirl knee strike (modified GTS) as her finisher to get the pin.

Stark was known as Lacey Ryan before signing with WWE and she joined the company recently at the same time as GiGi Dolin (Priscilla Kelly) and Cora Jade (Elayna Black) who have entered as a tag team. She is a former FSW (Future Stars of Wrestling) Women’s Champion which she held for 418-days before dropping it to Mazzerati in November.

You can view a recent match of hers from November below. This match was from Mission Pro Wrestling in a tournament to crown that organizations inaugural champion. She faced Raychell Rose in the semi-finals and defeated her to make it to the final round. She faced La Rosa Negra in the finals and lost 2-1 in a Two out of Three Falls Match.

What did you think of Zoey Stark’s debut singles match? Who would you like to see her end up facing in NXT? Leave your thoughts below!

Dusty Tag Team Classic finals are set with a future shot at the Women’s Tag Team Titles for the winners

Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart successfully made it to the final match in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. On this week’s NXT, the duo defeated the tough team of Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell to advance. They will be taking on Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai this Sunday at TakeOver: Vengeance Day.

Both teams in the semi-final match tonight showed great teamwork. In the final moments of the match, Moon hits her Eclipse on LeRae. Hartwell puts herself on top of LeRae to protect her after the move. Blackheart then hits a Senton on both women and pins Hartwell for the big win.

After the match, the winning team celebrates as their challengers come out to face them. Both teams go face-to-face in front of the Dusty Classic Trophy before General Manager William Regal comes out to make an announcement. Not only do the winners win the trophy and make history as the first winners of a women’s Dusty Cup but they also get a shot at the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

The current Women’s Tag Team Champions are Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler who recently became two-time champions at the Royal Rumble. Currently, the number one contenders of Lana and Naomi have the next shot at the champs. That match has not been given a date yet.

Who do you think will follow Lana and Naomi to get a title shot? Do you think that team will be facing Lana/Naomi or Jax/Baszler? Leave your thoughts below!!
