After last week's Raw, all signs seemed to be pointing towards Eve Torres being the front runner for a title feud with Maryse, but a few inter-brand cameos may have just turned us in another direction. Is this a good direction or a bad one? Let's watch this week's action and judge for ourselves: Kelly Kelly makes her way to the ring, followed by Maryse. Common sense indicates that this will be a squash match, but with how Maryse has been wrestling lately (that is, barely wrestling) it seems tough for them to pull off a real squash. Before the match ...
To follow the trend of recent weeks, TNA recycled their Knockouts' storylines and twisted them into a pretzel to make both seem original. Was there progression? Did the it all make sense? Are we actually going to get a title match on pay-per-view this month? All these questions and more will be answered... after the break! Just kidding about the break! This isn't American Idol and I am not Ryan Seacrest. If you do want answers, then you must continue reading. The part of Impact worth watching begins with an amazing promo by Angelina Love. It's okay to look -- SmackDown has returned to form! Hurrah! After an iffy week with not much going on last week, this week's show was infinitely better with the blonde babyfaces proving the Divas moniker to be true -- they were smart, they were sexy and oh yes, they were powerful! You'd expect little else from the Glamazon Beth Phoenix... but Tiffany? Tiffany?! I was not expecting anything out of the former ECW GM upon reading the spoilers for this week but Tiffany girl, consider my eyes opened. Tiff Tiff shocked the hell out of me with her rather ...
As professional wrestling's Future Legend, Melissa Anderson has wowed crowds in ChickFight, SHIMMER, NCW Femme Fatales and in other promotions worldwide. In TNA, we came to know and love her as the mysterious Raisha Saeed before catching another side of her as Alissa Flash. As Saeed, Melissa managed Awesome Kong to two Knockouts Title reigns and in just a few short months as Flash, Melissa gave us great matches with the likes of Sarita and Hamada before she disappeared from television in late 2009. When we broke the news of Alissa's TNA departure in January, fans were incredibly upset to see ...
After last week's moving tribute to womankind, I was bracing myself for the worst with this week's show. Surprisingly, the WWE decided to put on a straight wrestling match rather than mold the Divas action to guest GM Criss Angel's gimmick, and for that I'm grateful. But was the match anything to write home about? Let's see: Eve Torres, Gail Kim and Kelly Kelly make their way to the ring for a 6-Diva Tag Team match. I guess it's been a while since we've seen one of those, though I haven't really missed them.. Already in the ring are Maryse, Alicia ...
Crazy how time flies, right? Honestly, I had completely forgotten about this and remembered half an hour before midnight here in the UK. Today, March 16th, marks two whole years of Diva Dirt!
In the past year alone since our first year milestone, we have accomplished so much that it boggles me. This started out as just a hobby and it’s become such a huge part of our lives and has opened many doors for us. It hasn’t been easy, you guys will probably never know just how much goes on behind the scenes and it can, at times, be much like having a real job. But I truly believe that the tight ship we run here is part of the reason we stand out and have had so much success in the past two years.
Now some thank yous to all the people who make this site possible:
* Erin: you have been my right hand from day one. You believed in Diva Dirt and started this journey with me and look where we’re at now!
*To our team of contributors: Steven, Cryssi, David — thank you so much for your hard work and dedication.
* Thank you to Kristin Astara, for bringing your southern sass our way.
* To past contibutors, particularly the amazing Tiffany who we miss everyday — thank you!
* To the person who helped us and believed in us when we were down on our luck: Jason Deadrich, thank you!
* To all the lovely interviewees we’ve had over the past year or so. We’ve told some great stories!
* Thank you to all of the women of wrestling who inspire us to keep writing about them!
* And to each and every one of you who visit, comment and donate. We can’t please everyone but we try and you guys show us that we’re doing something right everytime you visit or comment. Thank you for your continued support!
TNA has removed the ‘First Blood Match’ stipulation to this Sunday’s Knockouts Championship match between Daffney and Tara.
Earlier today, the company’s website uploaded a graphic which had the match labelled as such despite the stipulation not being mentioned on last night’s episode of Impact. It looks as though the stipulation has been dropped as the graphic has once again been changed with it now a seemingly a singles match for the belt.
Frankly, I much prefer this. I don’t think a stipulation match, as cool as it would be, is the best way to kick off a feud. Hopefully this will be the first in a series of matches between Daffney and Tara for the belt and I personally feel that the first match should always be a straight singles match and then you can go into stipulations in a rematch.

Kelly Kelly makes her way to the ring, followed by Maryse. Common sense indicates that this will be a squash match, but with how Maryse has been wrestling lately (that is, barely wrestling) it seems tough for them to pull off a real squash.
Before the match can begin, Maryse takes a moment to do her trademark pose, and Kelly climbs the turnbuckle to do one of her own. I have to say that it looked a little silly, but that’s only because Kelly’s never been the “sexpot” type, and even in her Extreme Expose days the girl seemed to lack that kind of overt sexiness. Anywho, Maryse attacks her while she has her back turned, and the match begins.
Kelly takes control rather quickly, going on an offensive streak that eventually degenerates into a catfight. The referee breaks it up and Kelly goes for a kick that Maryse blocks, flipping her backwards and back onto her feet. Kelly hits Maryse with a knee-level dropkick and then goes back to pounding Maryse’s head to the mat. This type of intensity from Kelly makes it seem like these two have had something building, even though they’ve only wrestled together a handful of times. I guess it’s just an easy way to fill up offense before Maryse eventually sneaks out the win, and that’s all there is to it.
Kelly hoists a leg onto the back of Maryse’s neck, hitting a bit of a modified version of the K2. She goes for the pin, and Maryse kicks out at 2. Both Divas get to their feet slowly, but before Kelly can grab a hold of Maryse, she gets pulled face-first into the turnbuckle. Maryse pulls Kelly up, hits the the French Kiss, and it’s all said and done. She pins Kelly for the win.
Maryse decides to beat down on Kelly a bit, but Gail Kim and Eve bust in and give Maryse a beating of her own. Gail hits a neckbreaker on Maryse and she and Eve tend to Kelly. Then, out of nowhere, Michelle McCool and Layla come running in, dressed like two Daisy Duke impersonators, and lay out Gail and Eve. They level everyone in sight and pose a bit for the crowd, heading up the ramp to meet with Vickie Guerrero, the woman who seems to have full control over Diva happenings, whether they take place on SmackDown, Raw, or Mars. Maryse joins them, looking to form a shaky alliance with Laycool and Guerrero. More after the cut »

The part of Impact worth watching begins with an amazing promo by Angelina Love. Christy asks Angelina how she feels seeing the group she founded walk away with the Knockouts Tag Team Championships. Angelina gets a great look on her face that’s a mix of disgust and annoyance that her ex-best friends are actually champions and she starts to vent about it. Angelina flat out admits that it sucks to see the group with the titles and that it made her mad. She claims she is going to do something about it and issues an open challenge to any member of the Beautiful People to meet her in the ring tonight. She says she doesn’t care which member it is because all of them have been ducking her for weeks and as far as she is concerned, they’re all trying to be like her. Angelina is an original, and she adds that she is going to start cleansing TNA one Beautiful person at a time.
After a promo featuring time wasters and a tag team match, the Beautiful People are seen backstage with their newly won titles discussing their options. They make plans as the show fades to commercial and after one more segment, we finally get our Knockout match of the night. Angelina comes to the ring first and her hair looks absolutely fabulous. Her ring entrance is short lived because as soon as Angelina gets into the ring, the Beautiful People’s theme song hits. Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne are carrying the titles on their shoulders while Lacey von Erich remains the sole possessor of the ugly stick. The three BP members are carrying themselves with a renewed sense of confidence this week and their smiles are so blinding white the Impact Zone doesn’t really need all those harsh lights while they’re around. Velvet has a microphone and she looks down to the ring with a sneer across her lovely face. More after the cut »

Raw’s new golden girl, Eve Torres threw the first pitch at an exhibition game between the LA Dodgers and Cincinatti Reds last week in Arizona, the site of this year’s WrestleMania.
Torres, sporting a blue strapless top and a high waisted skirt, may have been a little inappropriately dressed for such an occasion, shall we say? Eve just managed to avoid flashing her underwear or her boobs for that matter. Phew!
In something of a dream match for Knockouts fans, Tara will defend the Knockouts Championship against Daffney this Sunday at the Destination X pay per view.
At least one promotion gets the March pay per view right this year…
EDIT: This match is now a ‘First Blood Match’.
