It is June, and that means the LGBTQ community gets to celebrate extra hard about being ourselves every day for the whole month! Because of that, every day throughout the month, we are going to spotlight one LGBTQ+ wrestler. These names will not be in any order, so this won’t be a countdown but more of a highlight to celebrate.

For June 9, we got Piper Niven.
Piper Niven is currently a WWE Superstar on the SmackDown brand. In 2019, she came out as bisexual for Bi Visibility Day in September. The 34-year-old talent has been wrestling since 2007, when she made her official debut. She worked in the indies and with STARDOM before being officially signed to WWE in 2019, while making an early appearance in the Mae Young Classic in 2017. While in STARDOM, Niven won the Artist of STARDOM title with Io Shirai and Hazuki, She is also a former Stardom SWA World Champion.
In WWE, Niven started on the NXT UK brand before heading over to NXT and eventually the main roster. She is a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Chelsea Green. While not achieving singles success yet, she is currently in a stable with Green and Alba Fyre as a member of the Secret Hervice. Her most recent match was on the June 6 episode of SmackDown, where she lost to Zelina Vega in a Bakersfield Brawl.
Niven got married to her husband in September 2021.
