Results from NCW Femmes Fatales 4 DVD Taping: First Champion Crowned, Luna Tribute

Complete results from last night’s NCW Femmes Fatales 4 DVD taping below, courtesy of John Hyperion:

Pre-Show:
* Sherbrooke Connexion and Angie def. Sengolene, Missy, & Eve via double team Ace Crusher. The masked Kira picked up the pin.

* Moonlight def. Xandra Bale via reversal into crucifix pin. This was a pretty high-flying match. Both ladies are young but have tons of potential. Xandra spiffed up her look quite a bit from FF III.

At this point a very nice Luna tribute video was shown, as well as a discussion of her importance to Montreal wrestling, and a 10 bell salute.

Main Show:
1. LuFisto def. Kalamity via submission to Konnichiwa-Goodnight! This match was a very good opener where Kalamity again showed how solid she is, like an evil version of LuFisto. LuFisto looked incredible and had brand new gear with wicked Chaparrita ASARI like shoulder pads.

2. Portia Perez (w/ Nicole Matthews) def. Cheerleader Melissa via Superkick. Portia came out with a mouth full of cookies (double chocolate chip) and offered one to Melissa, which was not accepted. Massive assist goes to Nicole Matthews, as she got quite a bit involved in this one and helped Portia win when she took Melissa’s foot off the ropes during the final 3 count. Melissa took out her frustration by chewing up a cookie and spitting it on the ref.

3. Mistress Belmont def. She Nay Nay via Michinoku Driver II. Belmont has a bit of a love story going with the ref, but he turned down her advances post-match.

4. Mary Lee Rose and Karen Brooks def. Anastasia Ivy and Roxie Cotton (w/ Evilyn Fox) via Tornado DDT then Ace Crusher.

Post-Match Ivy stayed in the ring as it was announced that she’d be taking on Allison Danger at Femmes Fatales V on March 12th. The crowd was quite excited and changed “Queen of Old School” for Danger. Ivy did not seem to invite the step up in competition.

Pro-Wrestling: EVE Taping Results (October 16th, 2010)

Pro-Wrestling: EVE returns tonight in Sudbury, Suffolk, UK with another DVD taping. Diva Dirt’s Women of Wrestling Podcast co-host Stew Allen is on hand and will be sending us live results.

Stew Allen reporting…

We’re in and ringside. Set up has been upgraded. Lighting rig, entrance way, double screens, custom ring skirt & turnbuckle pads. Looks good.

1. Britani Knight def. Shanna with a variation on Sara Del Rey’s Royal Butterfly for the pin. Tremendous opening match.

2. Jenny Sjodin & April Davids vs Amazon & Destiny went to a wild double DQ in about a minute. Just a brawl. Referee Chris Roberts threw it out and they needed over half a dozen guys to pull everybody apart.

3. Alpha Female def. Janey B (subbing for the absent Melanie Price). Fellow Glamour Gym members Carmel Jacob & Sara-Marie Taylor beat up the fallen Janey post match.

4. The Glamour Gym (Sara-Marie Taylor & Carmel Jacob) def. Team Storm (Becky James & Rhia O’Reilly) when Sara used a leg-hook DDT on Becky. Good tag match with Rhia taking a prolonged beating at the hands of the newly serious Glamour Gym.

Dann Read has made a reference to “three pull-outs,” which I can exclusively reveal are Jemma Palmer, Lisa Fury & Erin Angel, all for various reasons.

Male Wrestler Booked for WSU’s iPPV on November 6th

Could we see an intergender match live on pay per view? Former TNA star, Homicide has been booked for the show and will make a challenge at the event. Press release below:

BREAKING NEWS: “The Notorious 187” Homicide makes WSU Debut on 11/6!
– WSU received an interesting call today, as former World Champion Homicide contacted WSU to let us know that he wants to be in the house on 11/6. Homicide has asked for time to make a special challenge on 11/6. WSU prides ourselves on being a womens wrestling company and in being a company that promotes womens wrestling in a positive manner. However, WSU respects the accomplishments and career of Homicide. WSU has agreed to give Homicide an open microphone on 11/6, where Homicide will make his challenge.

If the 11/6 card wasn’t big enough, we can now guarantee Homicide’s return to iPPV! Who does Homicide have his eye on? And more importantly, what does Homicide want from an all women wrestling company? WSU doesn’t even know what Homicide has in store for 11/6, and the only way to find out is to be there live or to watch us live on iPPV on 11/6. We’ll have more on Homicide in a future update.

EVE, SHIMMER Promoters Speak on the Value of All Female Promotions in Pro Wrestling

In light of a situation with one of the Pro-Wrestling: EVE talents (who is no longer part of the roster as a result) that emerged over the weekend, EVE promoter Dann Read issued a statement about all-female promotions and where they stand in pro wrestling. Today, SHIMMER founder, Dave Prazak also weighed in.

As background context to that ‘situation’, on Friday night, the official EVE Twitter page posted the following: “Has been called ‘bad for the wrestling business’ as apparently we’re sexist. Any opinions? Are we as an all female wrestling company sexist?”

Later, they followed up with this tweet: “A member of the EVE roster agrees with the allegations thrown at us. Sadly this is not ‘a work’ thus this person is no longer a part of EVE.” You can read two more tweets here and here.

And now, Dann & Dave’s comments below.

Dann Read, the Producer of Europe’s Pro-Wrestling:EVE, issued the below statement this past week.

Pro-Wrestling:EVE is committed to the progression of Professional Female Wrestling throughout Europe. The next few months will be telling as we separate those who believe in women’s wrestling from those who don’t and find out who’s passion for the female industry matches our own. Everyone must be on the same page and everyone must be committed to their own improvement.

Pro-Wrestling:EVE works alongside some of the very best in the women’s wrestling industry and supports the efforts of those doing the very same thing such as SHIMMER, Female Fight League, NCW – Femmes Fatales, ChickFight & many others around the world in addition to those who give coverage and support to the female wrestling business such as Diva-Dirt.com, CapruredBeauty.com, RedHotDivas.com, Wrestlegasm.com, WrestlingFusion.com, (there are so many I’m sorry if I haven’t mentioned you, send me messages on twitter and I’ll #FF to make up for it!).

We support them, they support us, we all support each other and we all have the same dreams and goals.
