This match had the unenviable task of following a night of really strong women’s matches, and this one wasn’t up to the task. The story leading into it was an easy one to follow; a larger girl gets bullied and made fun of by a former friend, gets revenge on said friend, and destroys her. Only that didn’t happen, Mickie James got the beating Bliss should have gotten, complete with Samoan Drop into a death drop. The much larger Jax found herself dominated by Bliss in the middle of the match after ragdolling her in the opening. It just wasn’t believable to see Nia get beat down by someone well under half her size. The match did have cool spots with an avalanche Samoan Drop and a Twisted Bliss to the outside, but the match went on about 2-3 minutes longer than it should have.
