Last night’s WWE Superstars saw a first (I think, don’t quote me!) as Maryse and Natalya did battle for the first time in singles action. It was a clash of the Canadians as the two former Divas Champs represented Montreal and Calgary respectively.
The website Cageseat Seats has published an article looking at Daffney’s recent filing of a worker’s comp cliam against her former employer, TNA Wrestling.
The article highlights some of the conditions Daffney worked under while in the company, including being ‘pressured’ into doing hardcore spots that led to injuries.
Diva Dirt’s Mr Glamazon was on hand at this week’s Cauliflower Alley Club reunion this week, where soon-to-be WWE Diva, Awesome Kong — real name Kia Stevens — was the recipient of the first ever Women’s Wrestling (Active) Award for her accomplishments thus far in the industry.
SHIMMER star Melanie Cruise received a tryout with TNA last night prior to the Impact tapings. Cruise lost to Sarita via roll-up. Chicago-based Cruise is 6ft, much taller than most of her SHIMMER peers and probably taller than most of the Knockouts also. Like Isis the Amazon, she could fill a ‘giant’ type role which … Read more

Mama’s know best… did I not say last week that the wrestling business is not for those that have little kiddos – could not agree with Michelle any more to make the decision to walk away from “her dream” to take care of her baby. Maybe someday will be the right day for her and I wish her the best of luck on putting it all together.
Mikael – again, who the heck is this? Right choice in the elimination. When Stone Cold is trying to pull charisma out of your ass and you have a promo that puts me to sleep, bye-bye. Sure we will see him with a developmental contract (as the majority of the contestants will probably end up like this sooner or later). He had the build but that’s it; at least in my eyes. Next…

Responding to reports that she has signed with WWE, including a report here at Diva Dirt, Britani Knight released a statement on her Facebook page denying that she’d been signed (yet).
Diva Dirt has learned that 18-year-old British wrestling prodigy, Britani Knight signed with WWE last night following a successful second tryout.
Knight, who was just crowned the first ever Pro-Wrestling: EVE Champion a couple of weeks ago, first had a tryout with WWE last November.
She comes from a family of wrestlers: Her mother and father, Saraya and Ricky, are staples of the British wrestling scene. Her brothers are wrestlers also.
Former WWE Diva, Serena Deeb is at tonight’s Impact taping in Orlando and will be taking part in a match. Well, ain’t that a doozy? A trifecta of great things happened on Tough Enough last night: Michelle gone! Michael with a K gone! Stacy returns!
Let’s face it: Former ‘Top Model’ star, Michelle Deighton, wasn’t long for the WWE world and I had my suspicions she’d be the next female to go, but I didn’t see this coming. Instead of being cut, Michelle pulled herself out of the competition, citing that she missed her daughter and wanted to go home and be a mom. Well, despite not warming to her in the first two weeks, Michelle totally won over my respect for her decision.
That wasn’t all, folks! As well as Michelle, our douche-canoe of the season, Michael with a K, packed his bags and headed back to Jersey where he apparently has nothing to go back to… you know, except a small thing like a wife. She must feel so loved and appreciated.
Pro-Wrestling: EVE Champion and SHIMMER star, Britani Knight will receive another WWE tryout today prior to the SmackDown tapings in London. Britani first had a tryout last year. Good luck to her!
Get your Monday night Divas fix by tuning in to Raw tonight at 9pm ET on the USA Network. Be sure to tune in to the Post-Raw & Tough Enough Show LIVE at 11pm ET! Discuss the show in the comments!
According to PWInsider, Awesome Kong will be known as Kharma in WWE. The company filed to trademark the name last week. Like it? Love it? Or, like us… hate it?
Diva Dirt is pleased to announce the launch of its first ever original series, Jessie Kaye: Road to the Ring!
This exciting new project will see Diva Dirt move into producing our own programming specifically for the web. Similar to television series, ‘Road to the Ring’ will consist of several episodes posted exclusively here at Diva Dirt. The series will launch soon. Stay tuned for the launch date!
‘Road to the Ring’ is being simultaneously unveiled on Diva-Dirt.com and at the prestigious Cauliflower Alley Club reunion in Las Vegas this week, where such names as Jim Ross, Mick Foley and more will be in attendance.
‘Road to the Ring’ follows the journey of a young aspiring female wrestler, Jessie Kaye, as she trains to realize her dream of becoming a pro wrestler. Like many, Jessie has always dreamed of being a wrestler but she was overweight and unmotivated. That is until three years ago. Jessie has transformed herself and now trains under former WWE star, Gillberg.
Former WWE Diva, Stacy Keibler will appear on tonight’s episode of Tough Enough on USA Network. Promotion for tonight’s show, however, has only concentrated on the Big Show who will also appear tonight. Keibler revealed in an interview a couple of weeks ago that she will appear on the series.
Mickie James puts her hair on the line live tonight against Madison Rayne in a ‘Hair vs Title’ steel cage match. Watch the show live on pay per view from 8pm ET. Discuss the show in the comments!
The Diva Dirt team weigh in on tonight’s Lockdown pay per view:
April: To say that this feud between Mickie and Madison has gone on for a lifetime seems like an understatement. It finally came down to Madison running Mickie over for her to finally get some serious kick behind her anger, pushing things into overdrive. For this bout, I’m going to have to choose Mickie James for the win. I think it is time for her to finally get one over on Madison Rayne and take home the gold. Madison is a tremendous heel and has held that title for long enough. It needs a fresh resting place, like I’ve been saying for weeks on end. I think this time, Mickie has finally had it and I can see her really giving her all when it comes to this cage match. I am always a fan of women wrestlers taking on matches they wouldn’t normally be considered to compete in so Lockdown can definitely change things up. It’s Mickie’s time to be Knockouts Champion..let’s just hope she gets to keep her hair along with it.
Former WWE Diva, Maria Kanellis celebrated the launch of her perfume line, Signature, this past week in Hollywood, and a familiar face stopped by! Check out pictures of Maria, TNA’s Winter (Katie Lea) and friends at the party below. Congratulations to Maria on the launch of her perfume!
The end is near, kids. After over 18 months of decreeing childish nicknames upon their foes, speaking in unison and well, rocking fierce fashions that made us envy them, LayCool are headed to Splitsville. The writing has been on the wall for quite some time but like the child caught in a divorce, we’ve stuck our heads under our pillows to drown out the sound of mommy #1 and mommy #2 fighting… until now. We can’t pretend any longer. It’s time to decide: Are you Team Lay or Team Cool?
Don’t panic! We wouldn’t just let you make that decision without some reading material first. Here are our arguments for choosing Team Lay and Team Cool…
