Women’s match added to EVOLVE’s 10th Anniversary show

EVOLVE Wrestling is hosting their 10th Anniversary Celebration (also known as EVOLVE 131) this weekend on July 13. This will be the first time that EVOLVE and any independent promotion will be aired on the WWE Network.

Since 2015, the promotion has formed a partnership with WWE. Here they are allowed to scout talent for their NXT brand.

EVOLVE posted on their Twitter account a poll to determine if a women’s match should be included at this event. With a resounding landslide of 89% of the vote, the answer was yes.

The match will be Shotzi Blackheart vs. Brandi Lauren. Blackheart is the current Shine Nova Champion. These two competitors met at EVOLVE 129 where the match ended in a no contest. The video above is from their prior encounter.
