10 most underrated women in WWE history

Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn started gracing fans with her athleticism and strength as the winner of the third season of NXT. This was an all female episodic season that worked with pros. Her pro was Vickie Guerrero and Kaitlyn defeated Naomi in the finals.

Notable feuds included Layla, Eve, and Aj Lee. Although she feuded with Layla and Lee she was also an ally to them at points in her career. She became Diva’s Champion on one occasion by defeating Eve. She would lose the title roughly five months later to Lee. Although she was a champion she was highly underutilized during her time as one. Many televised shows went by without a women’s match during her time as champ.

She grew leaps and bounds as both an in-ring performer and on the mic by the time she left. A highlight of her mic skills was during the contract signing for a title match against Lee. This took place after she lost the title to Lee at the Payback pay-per-view and opted for her rematch.

Kaitlyn’s and Aj’s dynamic could arguably be compared to Trish Stratus‘ and Lita‘s. Best of friends who could also be bitter enemies.

She returned to partake in the Mae Young Classic II, but unfortunately, the hopes from her fans of her signing a deal did not take place. Other than her classic feud with Aj Lee, Kaitlyn may have been in the wrong era. If she was in the current evolution era then she may be used on a grander scale.
