Tough Enough’s Ivelisse Has Harsh Words for Christina

Following her elimination from Tough Enough last night, Ivelisse had choice words for the remaining female contestant, Christina. Ivelisse says she feels Christina robbed of her remaining in the competition because of the injury during training seen last week. “I hope that the trainers see through the bullshit of Christina and can finally make the … Read more

Ivelisse Eliminated from Tough Enough

On tonight edition of Tough Enough, Puerto Rico native Ivelisse Velez was ousted from the competition. Steve Austin cited her leg injury as the reason for her elimination, but said he believed she “belongs in the ring.” Ivelisse, also known as Juliet the Huntress on the independent circuit, is originally from Puerto Rico where she … Read more

Jackie Haas is Tough Enough (Week 5): “Don’t Take My Kindness for Weakness”

Note from Melanie: Apologies for publishing this late!

Girls, girls, girls, come on and make me proud. I had a feeling that this week’s episode would capture the ladies finally but not nearly in the light that I would have hoped. There is no editing the weak and sorry to say it but the gal with the most guts is gone. Neither Ivelisse or Christina is strong enough to even be past the next round. Not that I am being biased but I am simply stating what I hope that everyone else is seeing. Just as Trish said many of times, you need to have such a thick skin inside and, of course, on the outside to survive in the WWE and all of pro wrestling for that matter. Especially Superstar status-wise and the two ladies remaining just don’t have that quality.

Now Christina displays more of the “pretty athleticism” but overall, I really think that she is the weaker one. Even though Ivelisse showed weakness in the physical challenge as well as in the ring, I really think that in the long haul that she would be more successful in the business. With the right guidance and a current WWE Diva to take her under her wing AND keep her head focused in the game at all times, she could be a real good heel.

Jackie will be representing Team HMB in July!
If you’re not tough, you’re out sooner or later. Loved Rima’s spunk but just as Stone Cold said – being in the bottom three for the third week in a row, she deserved to go. This will not be the last of her we see though – she just needs to callas up in the ring and learn the fluidity of the moves. Seeing that Tough Enough is, of course, a competition and you need to keep up with the pack, if she continues to train and goes at her “own pace”, I really think she will have a great future in the business. I wish her well and seeing the desire when she gave back her belt, I’m hoping she will continue to follow her new love for the business and just not hope she was saddened because she was losing a competition.

Tough Enough Redux (Episode 4): Goodbye Miss USA, Hello Christina’s Voicebox

My dear Tough Enough brethren… and er, sisteren, apologies for the late Redux this week. A little thing called the WWE Draft happened and sent us into an orbital spin from which we have only just recovered. Well, that and I spent the past 24 hours weeping in bed that our adorable, sassy, minxy little Miss USA has been shown the door on Tough Enough. Ahem, enough about that…

Let’s catch up on this week’s TE!

After surviving elimination for yet another week, Rima arrives at the house where she’s greeted by a strange and mysterious figure. Who is this Christina and what has she done with the mute? Miss USA, Rima Fakih, was the latest contestant cut on WWE’s Tough Enough this week. Host ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin decided that Rima wasn’t ‘physically ready’ for the competition. This week was about technique. Jackie displays her technique on Hawk in TE2.

Called it!

Mama’s know best… did I not say last week that the wrestling business is not for those that have little kiddos – could not agree with Michelle any more to make the decision to walk away from “her dream” to take care of her baby. Maybe someday will be the right day for her and I wish her the best of luck on putting it all together.

Mikael – again, who the heck is this? Right choice in the elimination. When Stone Cold is trying to pull charisma out of your ass and you have a promo that puts me to sleep, bye-bye. Sure we will see him with a developmental contract (as the majority of the contestants will probably end up like this sooner or later). He had the build but that’s it; at least in my eyes. Next…

Tough Enough Redux (Episode 3): America’s Next Top Breakdown, Stacy Keibler Returns to WWE TV

Well, ain’t that a doozy? A trifecta of great things happened on Tough Enough last night: Michelle gone! Michael with a K gone! Stacy returns!

Let’s face it: Former ‘Top Model’ star, Michelle Deighton, wasn’t long for the WWE world and I had my suspicions she’d be the next female to go, but I didn’t see this coming. Instead of being cut, Michelle pulled herself out of the competition, citing that she missed her daughter and wanted to go home and be a mom. Well, despite not warming to her in the first two weeks, Michelle totally won over my respect for her decision.

That wasn’t all, folks! As well as Michelle, our douche-canoe of the season, Michael with a K, packed his bags and headed back to Jersey where he apparently has nothing to go back to… you know, except a small thing like a wife. She must feel so loved and appreciated.

Let us watch this week’s show back and dissect!

Jackie injured her knee in training but had the courage to not quit. She ended up winning TE2.

Time to get ‘Tough’…

When it comes down to being a WWE Superstar, Trish hit the nail right on the head with the last contestant cut, Matt. The spotlight was on and he was in the dark. In my opinion, contrary to those of many others, I could not agree more with the decision to cut him. Matt has tremendous skill level and has great athletic ability but when you do nothing but complete the moves? That’s not what this competition is for. I believe it’s for the exact opposite.

For someone who has been in the ring for nearly a decade, he was told point blank it was time to shine and fell flat; in fact, he was overshadowed. You can teach someone the moves but you have to have an inner charisma that is able to shine and overtake within the WWE. Matt has been on the indy circuit for too long not be able to take Luke by the “balls” and showboat. When it’s your time to shine and you don’t deliver, there is not enough time in this competition to “play it safe” and “wait for your time.” Your time will come when you least expect it; personally, if I were to do it over again, there were so many things that I would have done so differently to make sure I captured every moment but hindsight is 20/20 (that and I chalk it up to being so young and having no real concept of what I had gotten myself into!). He had ample chance to show himself, even up to the last few moments of the show with Stone Cold in his face waiting for him to “man up.” Cricket, cricket, cricket… so cliché in this business.

A cricket does not equal WWE Superstar.

Tough Enough Redux (Episode 2): Marriage Proposals, Cujo and Miss Late USA

Following a glorious premiere episode last week, waiting six whole days for a new episode of Tough Enough felt like a mammoth task. Not going to lie, the anticipation left us feeling like Amy Winehouse looking for her next fix as we marked down days on our calendar. We even got the shakes. Alas, episode two finally graced our screens last night.

Will it live up to the hype of week one? Will Ivelisse and Christina get some more screen time? Will Miss 11 Years redeem herself? Will douchebag Michael with a K finally get punched in the face by ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin?

And so it begins… all over again. First off, I cannot thank all those at Diva-Dirt.com for the weekly opportunity to express my thoughts on the latest rendition of Tough Enough! I also want to wish each and every one of the contestants the best of luck with this endeavor and hope that they really enjoy the ride because it happens in a blink of an eye and is one hell of a roller coaster ride!

Tough Enough Redux (Season Premiere): Miss 11 Years, Butt Padding and Alicia vs Melina

The hotly anticipated premiere of Tough Enough last night had high expectations: Big stars attached including ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and Trish Stratus, a plum post-WrestleMania debut and lots of mainstream media hype. A tall order, I’m sure you’ll agree. USA Network’s attempt at Tough Enough certainly met that order — and perhaps even exceeded it with an energetic and highly entertaining first episode.

Let’s break it down…
