Christina Eliminated from Tough Enough

The last of the female contestants has been eliminated as host ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin sent Christina Crawford packing on tonight’s episode of Tough Enough.

Following a lackluster showing cutting promos during ‘charisma week’, Austin decided that she didn’t have the passion for to remain in the competition.

In a surprise double elimination, AJ was also cut.

WWE Over the Limit in Review: Karma (and Kharma) Take the Night Off

Given all the hubbub about Kharma‘s interactions with her fellow Divas in the past few weeks, it became almost a foregone conclusion that she would make her presence known during Brie Bella and Kelly Kelly‘s Divas Championship match. Surely, a PPV setting would be ripe for a big, showstopping demonstration of strength by Kharma. Yet, somehow, Kharma seemed to have better things to do, because the title match went off without any outside interference. Watch the match below and see for yourself:

Nikki Bella attempts to distract Kelly before the match even starts, and Kelly spares a look in her direction, allowing for Brie to gain the upper hand. She sends Kelly into the corner, but her attack is stopped short. Kelly seizes Brie by the neck with her legs, hanging over the ropes and choking her. Kelly eventually stops the attack at the ref’s request, only to sweep Brie’s legs out from under her for good measure. She enters the ring via the turnbuckle, hitting Brie with a flying crossbody. She goes for the pin, but Brie kicks out after the 1-count.

Double Take: Alicia, Rihanna, Rihanna, Alicia?

It’s clear that our favorite Fox was inspired by S&M songstress, Rihanna’s red tresses when she changed up her ‘do last year, but last night, I can’t lie: We totally did a double-take when Alicia appeared on screen during WWE’s ‘Be a Star’ commercial at Over the Limit.

Snap Judgement: Alicia Goes Rihanna Red… Who Rocks it Best?

Alicia Fox‘s resemblance to the Bajan popstar is uncanny in this commercial. But that’s not a bad thing at all. Foxy looks amazing with her red locks straightened.

Jackie Haas is Tough Enough (Week 7): “Running with Wolves”

Former Tough Enough champion, Jackie Haas blogs on the new series of Tough Enough. Read her insight and opinion on the series every week exclusively here at Diva Dirt.

Another two bite the dust… well, soon to see about Christina. That truly sucks to put it plainly for Martin. Seems like he’s got the invite to come back anytime though to a WWE ring and sure, he will be back. Brought back a lot of memories yet again this week seeing the injuries and how much it really hit home. I guess that, looking back, I can be thankful that I was not forced to go home; even though told and suggested by the doctors. I was able to put blind faith in my trainers – mainly Al Snow – to help me work through an injury (and the rest of the cast that was remaining). It’s not easy to push through but the damage was already done to my knee and I could work around it, I would have to learn to work through it if I wanted to be in the WWE for some time. As Booker and Stone Cold stated, the show must go on no matter how you are feeling or what injury occurs.

WWE Over the Limit: Brie Retains

Twin magic fooled new WWE referee, Nunzio, allowing Brie Bella to retain the Divas Championship just moments ago at Over the Limit. The champion switched with sister Nikki, who hit challenger Kelly Kelly with the X Factor to retain the belt. PPV Predictions: WWE Over the Limit 2011 Thoughts: A largely uneventful match, I’m afraid. … Read more

PPV Predictions: WWE Over the Limit 2011

Brie Bella defends the Divas Title against Kelly Kelly tonight. Who’ll come out on top? The Diva Dirt team weighs in:

April: I am probably among many who are semi-surprised at this match. I’m going to assume it is due to the tag team matches we have seen on Raw in past weeks but you know what they say about assuming. I was also probably one of the few who actually cheered when Brie Bella won the WWE Divas Championship. But, where I want Brie to retain, I am going to have to say that my pick to win is Kelly Kelly. She seems to pop up and surprise us all when we least expect it and honestly, where she may not be the greatest in-ring talent, I could see her carrying the butterfly belt. I am very curious to see how this turns out, considering neither would have been considered an “ideal” competitor around a year ago. The WWE always has a way of throwing one out of left field so it is definitely bound to be interesting. Let’s see if Kelly Kelly can finally capture the strap and prove all the doubters wrong.

SmackDown Redux (May 20th, 2011): Quality Wrestling From Two Amazing Champions

Today’s SmackDown Redux comes to you with a heavy heart and somber mood. The wrestling world lost an absolute icon today as “Macho Man” Randy Savage tragically lost his life in a car accident. If any of you are anything like me, you grew up watching him steal the show night after night. Savage’s talent, charisma, and personality made him the total package when it came to this sport as far as I’m concerned. His matches with Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, and a young, brash Shawn Michaels are instant classics that will live in my heart, the hearts and minds of many others, forever. For me personally, Savage was the last remaining childhood hero that I had. I’ve watched all the others have their lives end far to soon, most notably Owen Hart. I was watching In Your House that night and I’ll never forget what I saw. If we can learn anything from the events of today, and from the past, it’s that life is way to short. It can be taken from you in an instant. You’ve truly got to cherish every moment and live like it could be your last. Rest peacefully, Macho Man.

Kharma Brings in Ratings on Raw?

It seems that the promise of a little Kharma has helped the Divas segments increase in the Raw ratings. This week’s Divas segment gained 333,000 viewers over the previous segment, perhaps aided by the attraction that is Kharma. That is a big upswing compared to the previous two weeks where the Divas segments lost viewers … Read more

Michelle McCool Delivers Some Real Talk, Addresses Critics in the Divas Lockerroom

Retired Diva, Michelle McCool, joined Torrie Wilson and Lilian Garcia on the Tough Enough After Show this past Monday. Michelle’s official fansite has a transcript of her interview in which she was asked about whether there was any cattiness or backstabbing in the Divas lockerroom because of her status as ‘top Diva’.

Read below:

Torrie Wilson: Do you feel like the more you went up the ladder, getting the belts and being on television and had all these great things happening, do you feel like you had to work harder to prove yourself to the women? Did you see a lot of clawing and backstabbing, or was it… helpful?

Michelle McCool: Oh, gosh. No. You know the answer to that question! (laughs) The higher you climb the ladder, everyone is going to have a reason as to why you’re there, why you’re on TV, and they don’t want to believe the fact you’re in the working hard, fighting for storylines. Instead of complaining about only have two or three minutes on TV, you want to make those two or three minutes mean something, so that you can go somewhere the next week, and the next month, and then the next three months. And that’s what Layla and I did. And, yeah. A lot of people just didn’t want to believe that; I just think that’s the easy route. I think that they did, in their hearts, know that. The backstabbing, the clawing, it’s always there. It definitely comes up more when you’re on TV a little more often. And I can laugh. A prime example, Layla and I. We pitched an idea when we were going back and forth between RAW and SmackDown. We did a pre-tape on RAW when we got kicked off: so, we show up at RAW and get kicked out of the building. Two weeks later, they call us up to be on RAW again. It’s like, dang! Of course, all of the girls are complaining. We’re just like, ‘hey, we tried to get kicked off the show. It’s not our fault. Sorry we’re here.’ But you know, it’s like. Somebody else step it up! And I know that sounds horrible, but that’s what it is.
