‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin took to his Twitter page to assert that he meant no disrespect to Alicia Fox and Melina during the premiere of Tough Enough this past week. After contestant Ariane Andrew told Austin that her favorite match was Alicia vs Melina, he proceeded to say: “Who?” before asking her why of all … Read more
The hotly anticipated premiere of Tough Enough last night had high expectations: Big stars attached including ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and Trish Stratus, a plum post-WrestleMania debut and lots of mainstream media hype. A tall order, I’m sure you’ll agree. USA Network’s attempt at Tough Enough certainly met that order — and perhaps even exceeded it with an energetic and highly entertaining first episode.
Fresh off of her WrestleMania win last night, seven time WWE Women’s Champion, Trish Stratus teamed up with John Morrison once again to face off against Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler this week on Raw. Can the ‘Diva of the Decade’ and ‘The Shaman of Sexy’ pull out another win? Check out the match below:
The segment starts off with Vickie and Dolph coming down to the ring and pinning the blame for their loss at WrestleMania on Lay-Cool and challenges Trish and John Morrison to a mixed tag match. Never ones to pass up a challenge, Trish and JoMo accept (after a short commercial break).
John Morrison and start the match off, and after a bit of back and forth, Morrison gets the upperhand, sending Dolph scrambling to his corner to tag in Vickie. In an attempt to mock Snooki’s back handspring at WrestleMania, Vickie tries her best to hit a cartwheel. Vickie celebrates her acrobatic feat, but takes her eye off of Trish and get rolled up for a nearfall.
Here’s the debut episode of the Tough Enough AfterShow from AfterBuzz TV, starring Candice Michelle and Lilian Garcia. Torrie Wilson will join as the third host next week.
The USA Network’s official website has an exit interview with Ariane, who was the first contestant cut from Tough Enough last night, here. She basically proceeds to say that it isn’t the last we’ve seen of her and she’ll one day be a WWE Diva.
Ariane Andrew was the first contestant cut on the revival of Tough Enough tonight. Citing Alicia Fox vs Melina as her favourite match and describing wrestling as her ‘new passion’, host Stone Cold decided that she wasn’t Tough Enough. However, the cut makes no difference because Andrew has confirmed via Twitter that she will be … Read more

Raise your hand if you expected any other result last night? (Hopefully no one has their hand raised or I might question whether you enjoy Long Island Iced Teas as much as Snooki.) Going into last night’s WrestleMania 27 it was pretty much a given that this was going to be a star vehicle for Snooki. She’d win the match, have a nice little moment and Lay-Cool would run to the back with their tails between their legs.
What we may not have expected, seeing this match on paper, is just how darn entertaining this segment turned out to be! Yes, I’ll be the first to admit it: I was thoroughly entertained by something involving Snooki from Jersey Shore. Does that mean I’m going to run out and buy her book or the entire first season of the show? Hell no. But for what it was, last night’s six-person tag team match was actually enjoyable. I would say that was thanks, in no small part, to a Stratusfying comeback from Trish Stratus and in my opinion, the most consistent Diva in WWE right now, Michelle McCool.
The Hall of Fame ceremony just aired a few hours early in the UK. Sunny was not part of the telecast. The one hour telecast featured the inductions of the Road Warriors, Drew Carey and Shawn Michaels. There were only brief glimpses of the other inductions, including Sunny’s. Sunny had previously been featured in promo … Read more
Ahead of tonight’s Tough Enough premiere, here is an excerpt from our interview with Trish Stratus last week where we talked about Tough Enough in great deal.
In this clip, we ask Trish to individually evaluate each girls, giving us her impression on them. Listen below:
Former WWE Diva, Stacy Keibler mentioned in a red carpet interview a couple of weeks ago that she will be returning to the WWE fold as part of Tough Enough. You can watch the interview below: Thanks to Thannya for the tip.
After nearly a decade, tonight Tough Enough returns with a brand new home, brand new trainers and a brand new set of fresh faces trying to bust through the doors of WWE.
It’s hard to believe that it’s been a decade since the first Tough Enough series — boasting the likes of Nidia and Taylor Matheny — hit the airwaves of MTV, peeling back the curtain and showing fans what it takes to become a WWE Superstar.
The Brunette Mafia came out to the ring with a purpose tonight at WrestleMania 27: To take out a hit on Lay-Cool and Dolph Ziggler and that’s exactly what they did.
Surprising the world, Snooki showed off her incredible athleticism, winning the match with a very impressive handspring backbump followed by a handspring splash on Michelle McCool.
WrestleMania is here! Will Stratusfaction be delivered? Will Snooki serve up some ‘Jersey’? Or will Lay-Cool prove to be flawless? The Diva Dirt team weigh in…
April: I am going to have to say that this WeestleMania is going to be the year of the brunettes. Trish Stratus, Snooki & John Morrison are going to take the win on this one. WWE wouldn’t hype up the return of a class act Diva and the addition of a “celebrity” if they couldn’t win it. Plus, on the experience side, I think Trish has it. You mix her with the crazy in-ring style of Morrison and it is bound to be fantastic. I love Lay-Cool and Dolph Ziggler but I have a feeling they’re going fall victim to the power of the Snook this time.
I think I perform well under pressure. The SATs? Nailed ’em. Wedding vows? Remembered ’em. Kids? Raising ’em. Ring announcing? Introduced ’em (and didn’t fall down). Now I realize that before this trip to Atlanta I didn’t know the first thing about pressure. But after Axxess this past Thursday I am now a resident expert.
One photo. That’s what you get. One photo. You screw it up and there are no do-overs, no second chances. One shot. A few years ago I was hoping for the perfect picture with Beth and thankfully I kept my eyes open and it all worked out. But even if it didn’t I knew I would be OK (and just go buy Photoshop). But this one wasn’t about me. Oh no. This time I was the one holding the camera.
The WWE-proclaimed ‘Original Diva’, Sunny will be inducted into the Hall of Fame tonight at Atlanta, GA. Diva Dirt’s Cryssi is on hand and will be bringing us live updates.
* Sunny is the third inductee.
* King, the host of the show, says Sunny always got what she wanted.
* Video package for Sunny plays. Lots of cheers and whistles from the crowd.
* King says the Divas are ‘smart, sexy, powerful and stuck up…’ Lay-Cool and the other Divas take the stage.
