Gail Kim’s Toughest Challenge Yet: The WWE Audience

The first ever TNA Knockouts Champion has faced some tough challenges. In TNA Gail Kim faced off against Awesome Kong on more than one occassion. Then there’s the Six Sides of Steel. The street fights. And that ladder match. Gail broke barriers for women’s wrestling and helped bring the Knockouts division to prosperity. To us … Read more

Diva B-Sides: Jillian, Layla and Tiffany

We can all agree that, except for a few exceptions, Divas get the short end of the stick when comes to entrance themes. While the male superstars get music from actual bands and artists or custom made songs with lyrics, Divas get stuck with crappy production music. If I had the chance I would change all the Divas music to something a little… well, better. And that’s just what I’m going to do. Here’s a few changes I would make to the Divas’ soundtrack:

JILLIAN – “GIMMIE MORE” BY BRITNEY SPEARS

An obvious choice for Raw’s resident pop star, Jillian Hall. I could see Jillian strutting down the ramp to the tunes of her idol. Hopefully she’ll take a page outta Britney’s book and leave the live singing to those who are actually good at it.

As the WrestleMania “No’s” Pile Up, Here’s a Positive…

It looks as though Diva fans are somewhat aggravated at the amount of Divas saying “No” to a WrestleMania 25 appearance. And it is true that the “No’s” do outweigh the “Yes’” and “Maybe’s” on Erin’s quaint little chart. But being ever the bigger-picture-seer (I realise that isn’t a word) that I am, there’s a … Read more

Diva B-Sides: Alicia Fox, Kelly Kelly and Katie Lea

We can all agree that, except for a few exceptions, Divas get the short end of the stick when comes to entrance themes. While the male superstars get music from actual bands and artists or custom made songs with lyrics, Divas get stuck with crappy production music. If I had the chance I would change all the Divas music to something a little… well, better. And that’s just what I’m going to do. Here’s a few changes I would make to the Divas’ soundtrack:

Alicia Fox“Just Dance” by Lady Gaga

The name says it all. This would be the perfect song to fit Alicia Fox’s disco dancing gimmick. Not to mention, it would be a welcome change from her current Jacko-esque theme.  The lyrics fit her outlook totally: “Just dance/ Gonna be OK”. This would have to be her theme alone, because the thought of DJ Gabriel dancing down  the ramp to this is laughable.

Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves…

Sibling rivalry… seems to be a recurring theme with WWE at the moment. Friday night’s episode of SmackDown teased some tension between the Bella Twins, could these two already be splitting up? Check out the footage below: BELLA TWINS BACKSTAGE The fans already seem to be sick of the twin gimmick and have been slowly … Read more

Will Trish Mentor Melina to WrestleMania?

Current Women’s Champion, Melina took part in a live chat with Comcast on Wednesday and dropped a line about legend, Trish Stratus. Though it is but an interview, could it perhaps be an indicator to the direction WWE is going in for WrestleMania 25? Read below: It’s awesome, and also there’s a lot of pressure… … Read more

Trish Stratus Is Still Talking…

I’m back! I know y’all missed me, but I took a little hiatus; having 4 Biology tests in one week will do that to you! Seems like whenever I stop keeping up with the Divas,  big things start happening! TNA jabs WWE again, Ashley is hinting (again) at blessing us with her presence and curses … Read more

Should Sable Be Inducted in the Hall of Fame?

For all of the stars that have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, you’ll find but a fraction of them are women. For every ten men, there is probably about one woman. While partly, this enforces wrestling’s prejudice against women, it’s not entirely WWE’s fault either. With women’s wrestling so sparse before the … Read more

WWE vs Hollywood: Wrestling With the Stars

We are about 65 days or so away from WWE WrestleMania XXV, the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania. Each year, the WWE has invited celebrity guests to be a part of the event. Last year, Kim Kardashian was the night’s host and Snoop Dogg sat ringside for the Bunnymania match. This year’s celebrity guest is actor … Read more

Maria Lands Role on New CW Series

WWE Diva and Playboy covergirl, Maria has landed an acting role on (adorable) new CW series, Privileged starring Joanna Garcia and the scrumptious Michael Cassidy… Oh wait, I’m lying. But Maria does seem to have a teenage doppleganger out there in the form of 19 year old Lucy Hale who does star on Privileged. Upon … Read more

TNA’s Answer to Michelle McCool?

Perhaps I’m alone in this, but I can’t help but notice a similarity between our new TNA Knockout Champion, Taylor Wilde and our new Divas Champion, Michelle McCool. These similarities are all aesthetic: Taylor’s in-ring attire really does remind me of something Michelle would wear and they both share the same “fake extensions” texture to … Read more

Dead Ringer: Melina & Jennifer Lopez

Ever think a Diva or Knockout looks strikingly similar (say, a Dead Ringer?) to a celebrity or public figure? We do too – maybe too often, because we’ve made a feature out of it! As the webmaster of Melina‘s official website, I often get feedback from visitors who think Melina looks a lot like Jennifer … Read more

Dead Ringer: Beth Phoenix & Beau Garrett

So, I was watching Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (I know, I know..), and I couldn’t help but think that this actress looked a lot like Beth Phoenix. Her name is Beau Garrett, and she’s only been in a few notable movies (Fantastic Four, Turistas, Made of Honor), so it’s likely that you … Read more
